It's possible the Whigs are now the Liberals, I'm not sure. Labour came around in the 20th century post WW1, from what I remember.

Not sure. I know the Tories were deeply unpopular because of the corn laws and eventually they rebranded. It didn't take and they are still called tories cos that is what they are. And I can't remember at all what happened to the Whigs. But they turned into the Liberals for some reason

I have no idea either but he was one of the figures of british politics/literature that interested me, so i know some stuff that happened during his time but not alot else... That's just one of those random things I seemed to remember. I don't even know what stances the whigs and tories really took on anything other than that they existed.

Tories were originally thought to be pro-catholic and tory is actually a word for an Irish outlaw. They were never really called that at all.

Yes, at one point the working class got it. Hence the labour party. But they forgot. And Blair stole the party. Like I said, he is a tory
