Um, don't get too far ahead of yourself Mag. I meant in the size of the character template.
Though, yep, your system is good. :)
Heh, the way we're planning on making the game is so that the complex parts are in the character building, taking more of the time and complications out of battle and gaming and shoving it to the downtime when you level and get new equipment. The character sheet and races and such reflect that. Once all the stuff is done and recorded, it just basically becomes simple algebra and tactics to play. The damage gets broken down into the format of X-Y=Z, making it so you don't have to deal with finding, rolling, adding, and typing up die results in the middle of combat.

To be honest, that's one of the things I like most about D&D. Having die rolls in there gives it more realism, rather than you going up against X monster and saying "Oh, I'm going to hit this and always do that damage". It can be a bit slow at times, but not enough that I dislike it.

Anyway, I must get some sleep. Night all.

Thats where we get into the rolls to hit and miss, and we'll have a scale for the effect of how close you are to hitting dead on how it affects your damage. It will still be somewhat random with that, allowing criticals, misses, and slight variations in damage, however, it will reduce the amount of rolls necessary drastically.

Night Rav!

Moving to avoid spamming in the wrong place.

No, it's 10 am here. I am not able to work till the 4th because my place is closed throughout the holiday and we are covering crises on call. It's because it is a charity organisation, I think. Not really sure why, but I'm not complaining. Hanging about at home waiting for (hopefully rare) demands to drive to Fife or Ayr or something is OK.

So I'm waiting for my pastry to be ready and I'm going to experiment with pie fillings. Exciting, huh?

Bye, Hill

Well, you have fun with that, my spouse is now yelling instructions over the speaker phone about something called the 'asphut'. Not idea what the 'asphut' is, but eventually I'll figure it out.

Have fine with your pie crusts. If you burn yourself I promise I will kis your fingers better. :p

(You work for a charity organization? Fiona, you are the pinnacle of humanity :) )

Good morning!
Wow, you've been up late Hill.

Oh, I second the thing about the charity.
My mum used to work for a charity. It was a paid job, but nevertheless.

*blushes* I work contracts and I do get paid. It isn't like I'm altruistic or anything. To be honest I don't really approve of charities doing this kind of work, it should be as of right and that can only happen if it is state funded.

Good morning Rav
