Oh, try to exceed the character limit if you can.... :p ;)

Yeah, it's quite good so far. :)

Oh, that's good...I'm hoping there will be some actual storms here eventually, that'll cool it down.

See if you believe this, one of the mods invited me and Buck seemed pretty eager to have me as a mod. *shrugs* :p

Don't you mean it was nice knowing him as he is now? :p

Buck was just looking for a high level sacrifice, no one important as Xan or Fable, and one more well known that say Hill or Stil, to appease the masses. Believe you me, Ive seen it before.

I just realized I can't get drafted. :)

Sole Surviving Son.

Hopefully, the draft will never get reinstated anyway. It's unlikely.

Well, this is what happens when you go out of town for 30 hours: your answering machine fills up with inane phone messages, your country falls apart without you, and GB moves on in such a huge spurt that catching up is well neigh impossible. :D

I can't be drafted, either. I'm quite blind (I remember someone posting an article on here about how some branch of the service was giving out laser eye surgery, and I'd probably be mandated to go if it were possible to draft me) but I'm also asthmatic. From my high school days and run-ins with recruiters, I know for a fact that there isn't a branch that'll take you if you have asthma (my mom insists that they'll give me some other kind of job, if the draft is instated, but at least then I'd have a job; she should make up her mind on that one, since she keeps telling me to get a new job  ).

I mean c'mon, these issues suck. Public nudity... you have any idea what kind of benefits you got for going with that one, Tony? Aside from the fun make-believe ones we invented. :D

Well I got the serious one of whether I want corporations to able to give unlimited money to candidates or not... Not exactly unimportant...

Well, I'd probably get stuck in front of a computer in Texas developing Big Brother anyway. :D

Ugh. I know how hard I'd come down on that, but something tells me that I'll never get that issue. I shouldn't, anyway since I outlawed voting, and if you can't vote, there are no candidates for businesses to support. :D

I have three issues right now, none of which I'm particularly keen on dealing with at all. Uranium mining, whether cut taxes to some areas and putting it into businesses to create jobs or create a flat tax rate, and Tony's public nudity one.

Yes, I did. Tis why I left yesterday morning with no issues and came back tonight with 3. :D

 Three small steps for despots, one giant leap for democracy. :(

I just resolved my issues, and I'm scared to even know what'll result in it.

1.) I decided to not bulldoze a rainforest to mine uranium, but I'm not going to ignore it completely; my only fear there is that I dunno how the UN reacts to uranium mining in this game. If I'd gone with the "Screw the rainforest, mine that uranium right away" choice, I'm sure I would have gotten flak for it all around, and ruin the ecological fertility that is my country. :D But I can look forward to this: with me mining the uranium even partially, I may yet turn Qasama into a barren wasteland.

2.) Public nudity; yes, I got Tony's issue. Oh lord, I wish I knew what the reprecussions were for his choice to make nudity mandatory. Shame that little scheme we came up with wouldn't work in the game, 'cause we know where I'd go if it had. So, I said, "It's your choice; flaunt it if you want, and don't if you don't want to." Giving people the right to choose something in a dictatorship is just... wrong.

3.) "Unfair" taxes (sidenote, I did some issue yesterday morning before my trip, and I dunno what it was, but now I suddenly see tariffs have been abolished :speech: ). I went with letting the citizens choose (there's that damn word again) where to put their tax money. I know this will cause a drop in several important areas *coughmilitaryandpoliceforcescough* as well as add money to the coffers of education and health care, but this is the kind of thing I'd institute if I ruled a real country, so that's what I'm going with. In the real world, there are other ways to fund an army. :mischief:
