What is really hysterical is if you go through all those old 80's metal magazines, and see all those serious grunge musicians who were so above making pointless metal back when they were trying to get started in the music business playing.....metal. :D :D Spandex, makeup and all :D

later T ;)

Rumor has it that Quiet Riot wanted to make a song to sound bad, to make sure they werent signed by someone. (I dont remember the details). They just completely tried to trash the song and the lyrics. That song was: Cum on Feel the Noise. :D

@Ty, they didn't want to record the song, but their producer wanted them to. So they decided to play awful, but once they started playing and it started coming together, they changed their minds :D

How did I know you were going to correct my story? :D I think its a pretty funny story due to the fact that Quiet Riot was most certainly a 1-hit wonder.

Another claimed 1-hit wonder hair band that Ive never heard you talk about is Twisted Sister (Though I KNOW they arent a 1-hit wonder-VH-1's countdown thought they were  ) What is your opinion about the most contravercial hair band dealing with cencorship?

Yeah, Quiet Riot kinda killed themselves....well, Kevin DuBrow did :D Although their other tune, Metal Health, is about as well known as Cum On, and I like it better.

Twisted Sister was an awesome band.....early in their carreer. Dee Snider decided to fight the PMRC oin congress, and revealed he was a family man, which alienated some of thier fans. It cost him part of his angry man image when he opened his mouth and showed he had a brain.

Still, Their first 2 or 3 CD's kicked, but they recorded and release "Leader of the Pack" *shudder* and that just killed them.

If you get the cahnce, check out a couple of their songs, they were a damn good straight out rock band. :D

While Im on topic of "so-called" 1-hit wonder hair bands, did you know or like either Vixen or Autograph?

BTW-I will look for downloadable stuff on the internet about Twisted Sister, probably. :D

I know when I first saw vixen, I thought they were definatly hot as hell :D And then, I quit staring and listened to them, and they had some pretty good songs. I was in lust with their guitarist forever though :D Autograph, well, just the one song I heard off, I didn't like it enough to find any others.

If you want to ckeck out an awesome band who was not one of the big stars of the day, look into Y&T, I have everything they made, and their music surpasses a lot of the better known bands from that period. They are one of my favorite bands. :D

Well, gotta head for awhile, I'll catch you later

Never heard of Y&T. You can tell me about them when you come back. Later BS.

So I assume you are happy with your selection, eh? I dont know a lot about Peugots so I dont really have an opinion.
Took it for a spin, to get used to shifting gear again yesterday and it went alright. Some more practice over the weekend and I should be driving it to work next Monday :) .

Morning Beldin. I'm feeling nice and unmotivated (but very mellow) today, it's raining gently outside, so all in all a nice day for lazing around. :)

Beldin:

@Ode: I know - this lingering relaxed feeling is always a pleasure - IF you have the chance of lazing around. It'S a nuisance if you have to work...

**downs his first cup of C.C.B. and pours another one - and makes it "scottish"**

@E-Man: So have you learned hot to drive with with a manual ?

The lingering relaxed feeling is most of why I enjoy marijuana. The high is nice, but just feeling good the whole next day is wonderful. Not so good with school, but still nice.

In total agreement with the both of you here :) - it's great to have that relaxed feeling.

I would put it more like re-learnt ;) - it had been over a year since I last drove a manual. Main problem was to remember to put my foot on the coupling and pressing it all the way down before shifting gear  - especially pressing the coupling all the way down is a problem, since I'm 6.5"/1m90 tall and I can't move the seat back more, so I tended to press it only halfway down at first. Once I had the hang of it again, the car ran smoothly so I should be able to drive to work on Monday (still have to work on my slopes ;) ) ** SLURRs some GIGGLE **
