I haven't written poetry for years, the best I can muster is:

I went walking one day
found a bag
took it home and it worked as one would expect

Who thinks we need a new Haiku thread? :D

Hey nomad. Your poetry is awesome. Man, keep posting it...I really find it inspiring.

My friend, as you doubtlessly have seen by now....the mere existence of a thread on SYM invites spam... :D ;)

Ow, paper cut :(

I have even better ones:

I went down the shops
bought a plant
it grew

Really speaks to you, eh?

@mental_nomad, I am not intending to insult you, you are a good poet, I am however pants!

Exited a door
breathed some air
felt better
drunk some water
felt even better
piano fell on my head
didn't feel better

Took me hours that did!

Looked at a map of Wales
Saw a place I could pronounce
thought that was interesting

Looking at monitor
during my lunch hour
eventually I will stop and start work

Eating a sandwich
It has cheese in it
and probably some mad cow too

Works of genius! (no I am not drunk, just bored ;) )

 I don't say the quality of your poem, mind you. The subject, however... :o :p

Genius I embody in every sentence
if you don't see this
you clearly don't understand my flow
at some point in the near future I will start working
and stop assaulting
your senses with this
load of drivel

Word, man.

It is the new age
you know it in your heart
accept things as they are
and the new age will never be apart

*brings out the eggnog (made with tequila of course ;) ), hangs up the mistletoe, adjusts the fluffy pillows, and relaxes by the fire*

I think I just need to be infused by the spirit of the season... :D

Dammy... ;)

*snuggles up to Scayde* That you can see what I saw in the words of the story means that I was successful at my work...which is nothing more than taking what is inside of me, and giving it to the reader...

*kiss* @Scayde ;)

LMAO :D

It had me stumped, too. ;) I kept forgetting to add her name to the glossary...I can be terribly absent minded at times. :o
