@Brink, that's what I was wondering. :) Some boards let you adjust for the time difference.

My time matches the boards. :)

Nope  Should it be? It says 4:29pm for this message... it's 11:10pm here. Yep, that's 40mins slower than it should be :D

Good evening, any lurkers? Or do I have to sit here alone in a bikini waiting for a drink? ;)

I'm here, but can't mix drinks :) (At least drinks safe to drink :D )

Hi Weasel :) It doesn't really matter you can't mix drinks, I don't drink alcohol :D

How are you doing?

Doing well, thunderstorms here. Been checking out the site with the new server as well. :D

Thunderstorms here too, but very hot and sunny in between :D

Have you started playing ToB yet (or finished it!)? I make an effort not to even look at the BG2 forum since the release date in Sweden is next week

No ToB for me yet :( I was holding out for NWN first, but it seems it has been delayed till next year. :( I guess it will be ToB first now.

I agree, the BG2 forum is overrun with too many spoilers.

I'm looking forward to NWN as well, but I will certainly get ToB as soon as it is released.

A question: How do you put other smileys than the ones on this board in the message? I suppose you have to provide a link? Does that slow down the loading time for other readers?

The animated one's will slow it down, the more animation the worst it gets. The static smilies don't, unless the link from the other site is slow.

To put another smilie from a different place just hit image in the Instant UBB code and put the http in it.

To get the http of a smilie, right click and hit properties.

Thank you. I'll try this now: Image

You might recognise the smiley :D

What do you think of the new server? It works fine for me so far.

Here's an example (I will delete it later)

I built this one and know the time for it.(At least the time the program stated :D )

14.4 1 minute 20 seconds
28.8 40 seconds
56. 23 seconds
cable 6 seconds

EDIT

The server seems to be working great. :) Lot off new people dragged the other one down. Buck had said a while ago that it was close to the limit.

You built what?

by Weasel
LOL I deleted it :D I thought you had already seen it.

IMAGE EDIT

I will delete this one, not five minutes , an hour from now. It uses a lot of space and it will slow the connection down for some.

LOL :D I thought you were referring to Buck's new server! :D

You can delete the image now if you like, I can see it's quite a slow down for people with modem connection.

Where I live, many people have cable connection at home since you get it almost for free together with cable TV. :)

I had cable, but it got so bad here, I could get on line quicker with a phone modem. The image loads great for me, 56K modem, but I believe it will drag others with a slower connection down.

(I still use it, just very rarely :) )

Does reading posts made before I logged on qualify me as a lurker? Or are lurkers only those who read real-time posts and don't answer?

And.... what does the bikini look like? NO! I won't start that again! Sorry. Forget I said anything. I'll just go back to lurking, if that's what I doing... :( :D :D

@Gwalchmai: I think reading before posting could be defined as "pre-posting", since it's a preparation for the real thing :D

The bikini is very small and has a...no, my husband reads this board sometimes :D ;)

How are you doing?

@ C Elegans and Gwalchmai .... I have to run, sorry I couldn't stick around longer. :( Talk to you all later. :) :)
