I've started official guitar lessons, my second one is tonight.

Caught me by surprise.

He WAS only 60... which is better than uhm... 45 or 32, but it's still pretty young.

Well learning by self-teaching gives you a certain style, learning by someone else and you start taking their style. It is hard to change that after you learned from your teacher unless you have many teachers and can absorb a little bit from each of them.
