In a way. *digs deeply in memory* Let me see...
An imp, of course, comes from the Lower Planes...in particular, the Nine Hells. A Mephit, however, I believe is associated with quasi-elemental planes...such as Smoke, Dust, etc...
Very similar to one another, though. Very similar...

For Rint's history reasons, I didn't follow the creature's origins. Nuetral Evil mages get Mephits for familiars, but I wanted a beast that had worked in hell for the gods. So, Rint is a strange exception...
But wasn't Cespenar a Mephit? I can't seem to remember...

I believe Cespanar was an Imp with the animation of a mephit.....

Yes, Cespenar was an Imp. The game used the Mephit model to represent imps as well...such as the imp in Sahuagin city, in the old Drow area.
Game-wise, imps are minor devils (called baatezu as of late). In a similar vein, Quasits are minor demons (tanar'ri), both taking form as tiny winged gremlins.
However...this being said, I have an idea. AC, check your PM box.

Thanks Scayde. I cleared them out. BS helped to clear things up, but just so everyone knows...I think the trip w/Ysh and Gwally will take place first. I'll write my segment tonight after I get back from the civilian complaint review board in Manhattan.

I came across this photo and it really struck me, for some reason, so I decided to post it
Maybe it is the sort of landscape one would see around some parts of Ogre Falls?
