No offense, but that's IMO actually quite rude thing to do. Especially if you taunt them to the fight in first hand (what I understand from your previous posts you are doing...)

MUD stands for Multi-User Dungeon/Domain.
They are almost exclusively text-based RPG/adventure type games (think back to Hitchhiker's Guide, Zork, Bard's Tale). They were the games that started the online gaming which eventually lead to things like EverQuest and everything that has followed.

I agree. If you're better than they are, prove it in combat. Once you do, there's no reason to rub it in except to inflate your ego. If you need to do that, it's pretty pathetic.
txt base games are not for me lol, like rav said, i've only played games with good graphics, i need to look at something and move about to enjoy it
Well, IMO you should give them at least a try. Yes, those are quite hard at the beginning, but once you get inside them, they are quite addictive. I was addicted to one such game, Ashavar Legacy, till it was close (officially), and I haven't played them much since, mostly because I haven't find any good one to replace the Ashavar...

RuneScape is mainly composed of fighting-obsessed, immature teens, who seek fast money making ventures and will laugh and taunt at anyone who they deem worse than themselves, and will call anyone who refuses to fight or go away from "their" spot a coward, or barrage them with generic insults.
Basically, RuneScape players are scum.

Well, haven't played RS myself, but if that's even partially true, then I think I never will.

The worst thing about combat is RuneScape has got to be that people will use every cowardly trick in the book to win, and will taunt anyone who does the same.
If they win they tend to proceed to calling them a "noob", or other such base insult which is too weak to be considered offensive, but nevertheless annoying.
If they don't win they tend to challenge you over and over again until they do, then do the above, or otherwise say that you cheated and report you.

You just summarized the collective population of Diablo II, Sacred, WoW, EverQuest, and every other MMORPG, newsgroup and (most) forums. All online games are filled with severe immaturity because half the people are too young to know any better and the other half are too insecure to act like real people when they have a computer screen to hide behind.
Now if you could look through the computer and see the 90lb geek or 300lb slob that's actually taunting you (and push through the fortress of Dr. Pepper they've made around their chair) you'd have a completely different internet.

I should build a Text Based RPG.
They're actually almost too easy to build, from what I can tell.
