@BS and Maharlika,
thanks ;)

I also appreciate the enthusiasm that newer writers have shown in contributing to the tapestry that has been woven....you have all added an exciting dimension to the DF saga. :)

Nonetheless, regarding the movement of time, and movement generally.......as others have previously mentioned.....some of us have significant obligations in our lives, and thus are unable to post as frequently as we might like to....... :(

I also agree with Der-Draigen.......a battle with the forces of darkness should ideally occur at night. ;)

Only a few can write such stuff and make it sound nice.

De nada senyorita! Image Not everybody has the gift to write such detailed passion without even thinking of the magz I got piled up at the Men's Room.

Come to think of it, only a few (and most of them are females - except Miss Incredible(?)) come to mind.

Just imagine if I Image were to write it...

...or Bloodstalker... ImageImageImage

...or Aegis... (no, Aegis, NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Image)

...or Nippy...

...or Thantor...

...or Obsidian...

...or Gwally... no, Gwally is a (willing?)victim here so he won't be writing such stuff. :D

Fellas, DON'T even think of writing your own version. Image

*scratches head*

Is it still night now, or what?

I don't want to be posting waking up in the morning when it is still night. (Already edited my last post so I do not yet wake up)

I got the impression it was already morning again...

A bit fast, I agree.

Hey! I'm not so bad at writing. If I were to put my heart into writing something like that, it was be done amazingly well! I just don't because it makes me feel like some sort of perv... Mostly cause I'm a guy writing it. So, I'll DW write those things. She's good at it? :D

For once, Aegis, I agree with you 110% :)

AFAIK it is just before dawn, according to Gwally's last post.

I stick by my original opinion that a night battle would be more thrilling and make more sense, since the SM and minions, and the Abom., would probably lie low during the daylight hours...

There is at least one more option to consider:

Gwally himself wrote me a PM describing his idea for the battle -- something about Rai'ya performing the morning, noon, and dusk rituals throughout the duration of the battles...I'll let him explain it *hands mike to Gwally* :)

How about if we all wait to post again until we come to some conclusion as to the exact time at the moment, and the procession and coordination of time and events thereafter? Also regarding where everyone is, will be, and who/what everyone will be fighting. So we can work it all out beforehand, so the story will flow smoothly. Does that suit everyone? :)

Allright with me, but two, no three things:

first:

once it is morning, my character would need to go out and meet Gatok so he can finally join the storyline
(he's got the post ready to make)

edit: forget about this, posted already

second:

I'll be away the whole next week and won't get anywhere near a computer during that duration :(

So I'll have to leave my character in your hands and trust you not to get her or Fang killed (I don't want to be obliged to come back as an undead to haunt you :D )

third:

If during that week you develop any bigger plotline with her in it, drop me a PM if there's something I should know so I don't destroy your plot with my first post

There was some posts earlier with reference to the Dark Flames whole chronicles. Now there is a function on the board that allows you to setup a printable copy, thus making it easy for a copy and paste into word. The trouble, is I can't search for the actual threads as my browser crashes everytime I try to search. Can anyone put up the links and I will create said document and give everyone a copy.

Thanks in advance :)

I updated the links in the first post of this very thread. They should work now.

Nippy is currently residing in his room. He is meditating and going through his past in that state. I thought it was a good idea to write about my past and reflect on his origins within the Flames... :)

I am thoroughly enjoying writing this actually. I think I have a very good idea to connect my past with the future. We can go to daylight as it were and my character could meditate before the fight and finally realise his true past.

It was shrouded in mystery, after all, he was in a thrall collar! :D

OK peeps, I have saved the links to the computer and am in the process of transferring them across. In fact I have done one already, the Anomen thread but it is 2MB big! :D I can zip it though and e-mail it to everyone if you wish. Also another thing, I've left the post brackets around the names so we know. Also the smiles are in there too. Is that ok? :)

It is done. I have chronicled the events of the Dark Flames from the beginnings in Anomen, through to the Harem and on to the actual tales of the Flames. The Winzip archive below contains the five documents of the history. I am proud to have done this <snip> Nippy removes the annoying speal... :D :D

Ok guys and gals, it is done and the attatched file will I hope work for you all. The documents are in Word 2000. It is relatively big, 1.93 MB and the largest document inside it is 6.48 or something similar. We sure did waste a lot of time! :D

To be serious though, I really have enjoyed working on this with you all. I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing tales with you and seeing some of the posts brings back some good memories *Remembers Wizard of Oz scene... :D *

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. We have over 500 pages worth of work there, all worth it thoroughly in my humble opinion. I think all of you non-Flames will enjoy it too, it's only a download after all...

Thanks for writing with me everyone! :)

Well this really is annoying! For some reason, it didn't want to attatch the file and thus I cannot put it onto the board. I think it is too big! Will everyone who wants this file send your e-mail address to my e-mail and I will send you a copy. Sorry for the inconvenience!

There's a cap on how big attachments can be, 100kb to be precise.

And I will take you up on that offer.

Short answer: Yes, I shouldn't see why not. I think Word auto converts the document. After Gandalfs is finished I will send you a copy.

Doing this nearly killed my computer. All of that information took ages. At one point I was sat waiting for two minutes for my comp to catch up! :D

I have done nothing special really, it was a copy & paste exercise, but thanks anway! :)
