Swedish TV sent the Fra-Den match, and showed only the goals from Sen-Uru. The commentators said Senegal-Uruguay were one of the best matches they had ever seen, a game that had everything - lots of action, many goals and a dramatic finish. I hope they will show the whole match later. Right now, Swedish TV only talks about tomorrows Swe-Argentina game.

@Nae'run: A Sweden-Denmark match would be interesting, I think the two teams are fairly similar in style, although Denmark has so far been the better of the two IMO.

I have to praise Greek National TV, they show every single match and when all are over they show them again in the afternoon. :)
They already started showing Senegal game.

Off to see it!! More later :)

Senegal X Uruguai
Was a great game; especially because of Uruguai determination.
Lots of oportunities of goal for both sides.
Senegal play better first act, and Uruguai massacre the other half.

Dramatic part:

One for each side. Considering dramatic in the meaning of acting.
:D :D :D

Both sides fake a penalty. The Arbiter fall on both fake.
One Oscar for each.

Well, this way no one can claim for justice.

I think it has ruined quite a few of the more fancy moves...

@France, they were just plain bad, they didn't score a goal all tournament and Wiltord looked poor. They all looked really tired IMO. Not of course that Denmark didn't play really well :)

@Senegal vs Uruguay, both teams were excellent a really enjoyable game, best one of the tournament IMO :)

Another two teams have passed to the next round, this time Germany and Ireland. :)

Germany vs Cameroon: German won this "duel" 2-0, again Klose scored! :) . A game with 14 yellow cards and 2 reds is not recommented for football funs.

Ireland vs Saudi Arabia: Great win from the Irish (3-0) which gave them the ticket to the next leg.

Cameroon-Germany was a actionally a comparatively fair match. The ref was extremly restrictive, often for no obvious reason. Ramelow, Ziege and Hamann will have to pause next round.

P.S.: Ref: Lopez Nieto (Spain). Spain might encounter Germany next round.

Denmark vs. France 2 - 0, Denmark finishes as number 1 in its group :D

Great work by our goal-keeper :)
See ?? I've told those French to pack their luggage long time ago  French squad rely too much on Zizou as play maker, it seems noone ready to replace him yet. The problem really obvious when French gotta play without Zizou and now "C'est La vie, Mon Cherie".........."Au Revoir !" :D

So the bookings were excessive? I hear it was a record amount for the World Cup, 16 yellows and 2 reds...

Germany will face Spain if Spain are runners up in their group, if Spain win their group they will play Ireland :)

How wrong was I... :) What a shocker, France couldn't score even once! It's always nice to have surprises but this is a bit too much...

About Germany-Cameroon, lots of cards, and referee clearly lost control to the game. Again a display of not-so-good and up-to-the-task refereeing. This WC is becoming a monument of poor referees... Fifth goal by Miroslav Klose, all made with headers. Rudi Voller has described him as "perfect striker", so his probably pretty good with his feet too. Wonder where he'll play next season?

The stupid Swedish TV doesn't show this match at all, only a short summary :(

Congrats to Germany and Ireland, hopefully I'll see something from those games later tonight.

2 - 1 in Sweden's favor. (Feeling rather optimistic in other words.)

What? You mean the Swedish press isn't raving about the England-Nigeria game? Shock horror  Don't they like Sven or something?

Looking at your sig, CE, who do you want to win the England game tomorrow?

I reckon that the Swe-Arg game will be a draw, we'll beat the Nigerians, top the group and play Senegal in the second round. Then it's looking good with Costa Rica or Russia/Japan/Belgium (whoever wins Group H) in the quarters and (worst case scenario) Brazil in the semis. It looks that if England win tomorrow, the route to the semi-finals isn't too taxing. :) Just have to hope that someone beats Brazil, but not in the group stages or we'll play them in the quarters

@Kameleon: Nigeria is my favorite team, but seeing they are already out of competition, I prefer England to win, or, even better a draw so Nigeria get a point (nice) and England quilifies further. I'd like to see Sweden and England qualify from group F. I previously mentioned my personal aversions for Argentina, but I forgot to mention it grew stronger when Swedish television interviewed an Argentinian player (this was 1 or 2 days before the England-Argentina match) and he said Argentina would be happy to conceed a victory to Sweden in the final game, if that meant England wouldn't qualify. Now, it is of course possible this players said to just to please the Swedish reporter, and this player's view might not necessarily reflect the common view in the Argentinian team, but I still got aversions towards Argentina's team because I thought I was really bad sportsmanship to say this is TV, and it just added to my already negative view.

Of course Swedish press in raving about Sven and his men too, but I think Svennis (as he is called in Sweden) is more respected than loved here. Swedish press wrote more about his presumptive love affairs before the WC, than they now write about his coaching and his team.

I hope there will eventually be an England-Brazil match, I would be terrific :)

Very optimistic I'd say :D Well, it's not impossible if Sweden manage to play their best for 90 minutes.

Good you're happy, I presumed you'd be :D

I think that 2-1 is a very possible scoreline tomorrow - England drew with Sweden and then beat Argentina. Despite being a die-hard England fan I have to admit that Sweden are a very good side and deserved to draw with us. However we upped our game enormously to beat the Argies and I think Sweden will have to do the same. It all depends on whether Argentina are disheartened from their loss or determined to win at all costs. At any rate, I predict that one of their players will be sent off - even rubbish refs can't turn a blind eye to (Olympic :p ) diving all the time. 2-1 is possible, but the Swedes would have to play out of their skins.
