You people are too far south. I don't mind getting wasted in a tavern with you guys, but not yet.

Well, until then, I'll be setting bar drunkards on fire and stuffing them in my Gnomeish War Cart of human holding.

As much as I'd like to see that, I unfortunatly don't have a War cart to get me somewhere faster. Damn feet.

Mayhap Nhutcluk could be persuaded to come and pick you up?

Seeing as Nhutcluk knows nada about moi and my merry flight from Athkatla, I don't think that would be very logic. No, I'm thinking about travelling along with a miss

Maybe he should eat that drunkard instead. Quiet down the overgrown rabble and such.

Wouldn't be such a bad idea. Peace and quite sooth the mind, or so people keep telling me.

Sytze, how about our characters meet up? From the sound of it, they're not too far apart (Kieshe just got out of Athkatla as well).

I'm comfortable with that. In fact, I was just pm'ing you with the same suggestion.
At any rate, I haven't started on my new part yet, and I'm not sure if I get the chance to get a part finished before wednesday. Perhaps you want to write the encounter? If you'd like me to do it, just say so, though.
Edit: Unless you want to elaborate on your relationship with the child, then postponing might be a better option.

Syzte,
Be careful with the booze. That Arkanis Gath is awfully fast. I remember the only way I could ever take him out was to shapeshift into a mind flayer.

By the time I can get drunk, I hopefully have a fighter-thief at my side, a fire addicted gnome with weird psionic powers, a few women with arcane and divine powers that can destroy the earth we walk on, and a few other folks with their own specialty powers. Unless were all drunk beyond being able to walk straight, I think we can beat him.

@ Sytze,
lol!

Just so everyone knows though. While characters like T'lainya, BS and Tashara are quite high level, and fairly formidable in battle, they do all have weaknesses, and they aren't as uber as they might appear.
Since I wanted to 'import' my character I put a bit of thought into all of this. Tashara was already high level by the 'closing' of the previous DF book, and the battle with Moander's avatar would have certainly provided a whack of experience. Also, five years have passed, adding yet more experience.
So, it wouldn't have been realistic for her to de-evolve
But, she does have certain weaknesses, and these will become more apparent as the story advances

It's been a long time since I've read the Books (*really* long), but I picked up a few books at a garage sale recently and have been reading. Is this the same avatar mentioned in
Azure Bonds, or are we using just another reality?

is anyone else thinking a mental psycosis?
and test question, whos Arkanis Gath? and why wouldnt a bunch of epic level characters take him?

@Demo,
You really like to tread close to the coals don't you?
@AC,
the best person to ask for details on Moander's avatar would be T'L. I know she had a document on the creatures stats and so forth, which I unfortunately lost during my recent computer troubles.

Ohh I didn't exactly mean it like that. It's more like I could take Arkanis when I would have the backing of such a group.
However, having said that, I don't think it will be easy to come up with monsters that still pose a thread to a combination of some of our characters.
@Demo: he is one of the most capable Assassins in service of the Shadow Thieves. You know Drizzt, strongest and most powerful among Rangers? Well, even though this could be a bad comparison, Arkanis could be classified as one of the strongest among thieves/assassins.
I wish I could give you some more information, but so far my sources proved fruitless…

The avatar we fought was the same as in Azure Bonds, Than came up with a plot line that had someone trying to resurrect it via a spark of moanders power that he had hidden away. It had been slain twice according to fr lore (I think, I may be wrong on that)
Hey DW if you're on, pop into msn for a moment if you have time

Magrus,
nice new avatar. I remember a time where I used to hang out a lot with the captain. These days, I'm a scotch man. Must be getting old.

Heh, thanks. The captain's been nothing but good to me.

I love rum. Rum is good.
I need to find a reason to make my gnome stop drinking.
