Kipi is doing a wonderful job... I hope that I was right about it being his first, but I am sure that it is, considering that Ravager littered threads all over the place with tips for him. ;)

All 20 pages? I never made it all the way through something on this subject without taking a break! :D

dming is evil. That's all I can say; especially with a group of straight laced players who worry about such things as the time updates, weapon condition and other silly things...very very bad

Unfortunately, we couldn't let Sononara join (too many people already). :(

---

I think we're going to have to have to synchronise the dialogue thread a little. At the moment, we're in three places I think (Kazar-Sess meeting, their intro. at the Inn and Halgrath on the ship). I may accelerate it, so we're at least on the ship going to the island to meet Sterwick later on.
Then maybe we will establish some kind of turn system for the dialogue. At the moment the campaign is covering most of what could be covered in the dialogue thread, but in the future when there are fights and such, there may be more openings for the thread.

Game halted!!

I'm sorry to inform everybody that I'm currently forced to halt the game for next 48 hours.

This is due the fact that not all has taken part in last 7 days, if at all. Those of you who I'm refering to have got PM from me, with further instructions what to do.

So, during the next 48 hours, I'm not going to post in the game-thread. BUT, those of you who has not posted yet, can still post their actions, it's just that I'm not going to develop the situation while waiting for replies from those persons.

Also, I'm informing this here also, that those who has got my PM, and fails to show up to game-thread or PM me, are dropped from game. This was hard decision, but since we seem to have great interest, I decided that if someone is unable to take part in this, then we give chance to those who may be. The only except for this is Magrus, since we know his situation, and he has informed us at the beginning that he may not be as much with us as he wants, so he is not currently at the party.

So, while waiting for those replies, you have also gained change to get the dialogue-thread forward ;)

Rav I was think that maybe I could put a title on my posts that said "sess and Kazar", when Im with Yepi in our dialogue, so that no one would get confused as to whats going on. For example, if I posts two posts of dialogue I dont want to confuse anyone on which is which and think something else is going on..so a title could clear things up for now...what do you think?

That would probably help. Though if you and Yepi move on to the point where you meet my character (DJV's and Kythras' too) in the tavern in Baldur's Gate, we should be able to write some more stuff too.

You people have possibly one of the most dialouge packed gaming threads I have seen. This considering that you already had a dialouge thread...

Remember that you do have a sueful dialouge thread. Tying the posts together could help. However, if you guys want to leave that thread somewhat unused, well, I can not really say much to the matter. :D

All this meeting and history... you guys will have let out all your charcters secrets before level 2. :D

I'm new to online RPG/Dnd, but i think it would be nice, even with the existing dialog thread, some characters might be able to spring a suprise or two later... :D

Btw, i hope everyone will get to reply to Kipi's pm. I think he's doing a geat job, and it would really be hard to drop anyone. Recently, i too was in a situation when i was very busy & didn't have internet connection. So, maybe everyone has something that's preventing them from posting? I know Kipi has only the interest of everyone and the whole campaign anytime he makes a difficult decision...

...er, anyone knows what happened to Kythras? I think she was among the regular poster in the dialog thread in the early stages...

Okay, maybe it's time for me to take part this question about the dialogue thread and game thread...
¨
So, in my plans, there is no such thing as "dialogue thread". I have never planned to use such, and never will. This is the reason the game has started as a bit chatting, since all those "get-to-known" stuff were implemented in my plans to the beginning of game thread, and I have no intentions to remake those plans.

This do not mean that you are not allowed to use the dialogue thread, in contrary, it could be very usefull for you. But still, I really hope that every "imprtant" dialogue is kept in game-thread, since it's at least for me a bit difficult to watch both threads and keep my notes update. You can of course use it for such dialogues like when camping, since those dialogues do not appear in game thread. But every dialogue that has at least a little to do with campaign, please keep those in game thread. There is other reason for this as well: As you have yourself noticed, the dialogue thread is very far from the situation in game thread. Thus, it would be quite a job to get both in same point, at least without pausing a game untill it's done. So, for me at least, it would make sense that the game-dialogues are talked in game thread, others in dialogue thread.

For making this easier, consider the dialogue-thread as "unofficial" thread ;)
So anything you say there does not necessarely get to game-thread in any way, at least not by me.

Yes, you are right, many games start out with this. I thought that long and lengthy dialouge thread was...long. :D A little overdone, for me, since I usually play games where we set up how the characters will know each other. In this way it is much more interactive. :)

Sorry, I try to read all these threads, but sometimes I don't stop by for a week and this place has swelled another 100 posts.

I came in late, very late into the dialog thread...i was really unsure of how to begin my posting. I myself was to blame really, but it's still nice to let the 'background' story evolve interactively...at least before the proper game thread start :p

@ Hill and Slade

Yes, the whole meaning (at least, to me ;) ) of the dialogue thread is that players can more easily develop their common past, even when the game is running.
The game actually started, as was my plan from the very beginning, from the point where characters already knew eachother (there is exception to this, looks like it, but at least this far it has been handled very well in game thread), and tehy have only meet Sterwick before true adventure can begin.

I was going to make that post nevertheless, since I have noticed some attitude towards thinking that all the dialogues will be made in the dialogue thread. This is what I'm against for, the reasons stated in the previous post.

Kipi,

Just a quick question...if there's any correction that needed to be done for our character, do we pm you or posted it in this thread?

Either way goes, but I would prefer PM, since that's way I get faster the notification.

The deadline for some players to post has ended. If we are precise, they even got some extra time to post or send PM. During that time, only one from those three players managed to post. Because of this, I have to inform you that Chus and Kythras are not in this game anymore. I gave chance, and seems like they didn't take it.

Because of this, there is place for new player. But only for one player, since the group was actaully a bit too large. This place is reserved to Sononara, if you still want to join this game. I'll info you more by PM, especially how I was thinking to include you to party.

So, next thing besides of sending PM to Sononara, I'll also remove Chus' and Kythras' characters from Character-thread.

Sorry, but I have not been keeping up with the campaign lately, as it is some good reading. However, I think it best to mention that ch85us2001 us not here due to the fact that his computer is going through an extensive series of repairs for the rest of this week.

I have not heard from Kythras, but I do think she is on my MSN contact list, so I'll ask him/her when I get the chance. Most likely it was just time in her case, and if it is bad now, it could get worse.

First, I want to apologize that I haven't been around much lately.
My studies and basketball is taking all the time, and the only moments I have been able to come GB is during days in university. So, that's why I haven't posted to campaign thread.

First, Yepi, could you please edit/clear your last post? If you are really going to attack those 4 dwarves, then you just post which one you are attacking which round, and put the attack- and damage rolls to the post. Then I calculate if you succeed in hitting, not you ;)

But if you want to take back that action, I will give you the chance, but only this time.

Everybody else, do not post before Yepi has edited post and I have posted the response!

I will check the thread again tomorrow morning, then afternoon. I will post as soon as Yepi has made the edition, so that I can response accordingly.

I will try to find time and more regulary to post to t´he campaign.
