@ Rav: Nick Cave is the best musical artist of the last few decennia (and fairly OK writer too). But a bit difficult to nail down genre wise. Started as a bit punk / new wave. Not unknown to goths. But dares to forage into blues, country & crooner territory. Biblical influences in some texts. And always quintessential Nick Cave.

@ Juni, be glad I didn't mention the other hand (think Al Bundy in "Married with Children").
@ Fiona: the song that got me into Nick Cave was actually a fairly quiet and melodic song ("Watching Alice" from "Tender Prey"). I like almost all his songs.
