Aye, all forty that I was counting were backpacking the north cascades up washington (state) way, it was a light trip, but it was extremely relaxing.

New mexico? Philmont I assume.

I do that much in about 2 to 3 months....thats just walking from place to place....actually thats me walking from school to home...4 miles back and forth...not to mentnion when I go other places......walking is so much fun....

Those are all round about distances.
Of course there just about to small now, I got them last febraury and now there two sizes to small.

I used to do lots of walking back and forth from school. That may have been a couple of miles a round trip. No real idea how big the distance was. Maybe I'll look it up sometime...

Hmm. I've seen that kind of thing at Bath.
It was a Roman spring, and the origin of the word seeing as they bathed in it.
There was a good museum there, I think.
And the water was VERY hot as it came out the ground, IIRC.
