He discovered it very small, when he was a kid... a teacher of his had beaten him (yes, it happened, dont ask me how) because he couldnt find the right pencil, and the principal helped him after the third time he had been beaten. You know, some people are just plain stupid.

And yes, I dont really thing it is a big deal, but it might be. Your apologies are in order, and mine too.

It's really cute, thanks :D Weehhhe, I'll show it to my collegaues :D

Nightblindness means that you doesn't see well in twilight, right? I think it's very common, I suspect I have the same problem too. At least I hate driving when it's getting dark. But what does it have to do with measuring distances correctly?

I've got terrible vision, I've had to wear glasses since I was 5. My mother and brother too. My mom has horrible night vision and is terrified to drive at night becuase of it.

@Yeltsu, I know I won't ever get my license because of the problems I have with my neck. I get dizzy when I turn my head. I can drive fine, but if I have to turn my head everything spins and that could make me kill someone so I avoid it. If I got my license, I'd be tempted to drive, every time I did so I'd be risking an accident. So I know how you feel there. :(

I don't like driving at all now, dark or sunlight.
Since I had a small accident last December, I have developed a kind of fear of the traffic...It's not that I can't handle the car itself, I'm more afraid of changing lanes and paying attention to what the others doing... Everyone says I should drive to get rid of this feeling but how on earth am I supposed to drive if I'm afraid of every vehicle coming near me...? I'm afraid my unsteadiness may prevent me from making quick decisions when it comes to that, so I'd rather not risk it.... It's safer :o

(Day 35, did I say that already?)

Yes, you did say that already. :D

My biggest problem with the dizzy thing is changing lanes, and those odd occurences you need to react quickly. My father keeps telling me to get special mirrors so I can drive. However, it's a natural impulse to turn and look when danger is coming. If I hear a car coming towards me, I'm going to jerk my head around and look in that moment of panic to asses the situation and react. Rather than looking, and reacting properly, I'll look and be too dizzy to steer straight, let alone brake or turn away from the oncoming trouble.

Besides, I love walking. It's so much more fulfilling to walk somewhere than to drive to it. It becomes a small adventure to your destination and back. Not only that, walking through town to grab a burger or a pizza is much better for you than driving up to get one. ;)

@ brynn Nightblindness have nothing to do with problems judging distances, it's just that I have both problems.

I have nightblindness from my mother's side where several of the family members have it too. Lack of in depth vision is because one of my eyes is weaker than the other, so it sometimes (especially when I am tired) just "disconnects" and swirls away, this does that I don't have overlapping vision (which is the basic for in depth vision) My father and my oldest brother have the same problem.

Sleeping helped, my eyes don't hurt anymore!! :) :D
