I agree with you Fiona, it creates a competitive environment in which spam thrives better. Otherwise you get a monopoly that starts slacking.
True, he'd probably relish the chance: it'd be one less irreverent spammer ceaselessly trying to avoid the profanity filter.
Profanity filter?...is that back on now......a few days back it wasnt.....Im surprised no one took advantage of that....oh wait we did:devil:

Yes....I suppose so.....too bad that competitor was killed off so long ago.....we need to motivate the Heathen citizens to spam more and give the Sf competition again.......like the good ol' days

Seriously? The SF may have initially been so successful because it was a break from the HC, but do you honestly think it's the "competition" that makes the spam 'better'? I agree that I'd rather there were two such threads, but only because it gives the spammer more choice: despite the fact both are mostly examples of nonsensical posting they do have different styles. The thread regulars are different as well, but I don't think anyone spams here just to spite the other thread (ignore what slade and I just posted, it was a joke

).
I like having both. The spam goes better with two threads, sometimes
The wonderful lady is correct.

Besides, I miss the citadel bar fights. :mischief:
The SF was so successfuly becuase I was out of booze, and Rav promised me unlimited booze to boost the traffic here. I should boycott the SF and start my own pub!

What would happen if I boycotted that thread?
Oh, I'd better admit it: Yes, you helped in establishing the SF. Thanks Mag.

@ Rav: We'd all slowly shrivel up and die, so be responsible and sustain us for at least a couple more years

Heh. I'll try.
Though for starters I won't be around as late next week and eventually I'll be in some internship both cutting down on my hours here a bit.

C ya slade!
Dammit Rav

, you need to name a successor then and it'll be that person's duty to keep this thread, and all its inhabitants, alive...

I wouldn't think it would be too much, though I'm going to have to rein in my early morning departures if I have to get up around 7am every morning.
The internship wouldn't be until summertime at the earliest.
I'll still have to organise applications etc. anyway.
LOL! A successor? But that'd be as good as me admitting I'm not unique.
