I think your signature could be said to be true at both extremes, a hell of a lot of really bad things are done when your eyes are closed, too.

Don't you always aim subconsciously just before the sneeze? I always turn my head if I'm around people or facing something like a monitor, when I know a sneeze is imminent. That way, yes, you can aim.
