Does it not seem convienant that withen six months of september 11th, that a football tema called the "Patriots" happens to win the super bowl? Will the Washington Captilos win the Playoffs now? Seems a little to coincidently for me.

How are things with you?

@Georgi: Things are fine with me, I just woke up(!) after having gone to bed early for once. Overdrawn bank accounts is not very funny :(
What courses are you taking this semester?

@Aegis: Your story is developing nicely, have you had any time to write more?

LOL! How do you exist on so little sleep?!?
Nah, it should be sorted by tomorrow though, cos I should get some money in... plus a cheque went in today which will clear in a couple of days. I can't use my account till then though - hoping my rent cheque won't bounce!!!

I'm still taking the Early Jewish Magic course, it covers both semesters. Other than that, I just have to write a dissertation...

@Georgi: I usually sleep like 4-5 hours a day in the weekdays, 6-7 on weekends. I've always been like this, I need very little sleep. Like Thatcher, I've heard
Good your money problem are only brief :)
So, it's now time for your BA dissertion - welcome to the Anxiety over dissertation club (TM), and exclusive club for all us who live with a constant bad conscience that we should write more. ;)
Have you decided your topic yet?

I can get away with that little sleep for a few days, but it catches up with me ;)

Thankyou for the welcome :D Nope, and I probably really should have decided it by now :o Still, with my hectic timetable of 2 seminars a week, I should find the time to get it sorted ;) I usually leave my essays to the last minute, but I don't think I could pull it off with a 10,000-word dissertation!

That's what I thought too - I've written two BSc:s (different subjects of course), both of them in the absolute last minute, one I even finalised at an airport and sent by mail to a friend who printed it at sent it to my supervisor  My MSc was a joke, I had made the experiments earlier on, but the writing I did in 2-3 weeks, working in a total frenzy, slept perhaps 2-3 hours a day sometimes less. At the opposition (is it called this in English too, when you defend your thesis to an opponent?) I was so tired so I hardly remember anything. NOT recommended, it was awful, but it worked and unbelievable, my MSc is really good :)

When do you plan to have fininased your BA?

OMG  I'm hoping to be slightly more organised than that!!!

Re. "opposition"... not sure on that, I don't have to do it for my BA, that kinda thing only comes in at MA level I think...

Plan? You say that like I have some kind of choice in the matter... My deadline is May 13th... I graduate this summer.

I think your conspiracy theory can be thrown out the window seeing as the Yankees actually lost the world series six weeks after 9/11.

Yeah. The Rams looked like they were asleep the whole game. I live in NJ, though, so I was not unhappy that the Pat's won. My real heartbreak was over the NY Jets loss to Oakland (the second time!!!).

In the US, this only happens for PhD's. It's just called Defending your Dissertation.

I think it would be fun to suggest dissertation topics for CE and Georgi.

@VDali: I still thought the Steelers were gonna win. :D
