Both of them!
I think there is some story that still needs to be told about revan and bastila.:mischief:Also I want to see what happened with Carth and his son.

Good point. La shiuld of stuck with the orginal story lineXRichX wrote:Hello all! First Post here, not my last
Just thought i'd pin in my opinion. I have played original KOTOR when it came out on XBOX and loved every second of it, hell i even stopped playing Morrowind for it (crazy i know!). Anyways, i traded in my XBOX about 3 years ago.. and i have only just got the original game for KOTOR on PC and just completed it again (LSM Raven). I have to say that the love story side to KOTOR is pretty much what drew me into it all, i have never encountered such a touching compassion between two animated characters.
I'm not soft, nor am i gay. But i must say it brought a tear to my eye a few minutes ago, it's driving me mad that people are sayingt hat there was little to no reference of them and what happened to them in KOTOR II (hence why im probably not going to play it as i feel that it should have led on from KOTOR I). Lucas dropped the great story here, it destroyed it.
What they should have done for KOTOR II is carry on leveling from 20. Why not? All in all, 20 is a really low level in the world of RPG/MMORPG. Why not let us go up to 40? This way you can master you're skills further (continuing on the 'special case' idea at the jedi council on Dantooine). Your love for Bastila grew and your bond widened further then both would have expected. Then in KOTOR III level up to 60? 90? or further? Why not make the widest ranged game ever anticipated?
What i mean by that is why can't you create loads and loads (i mean LOADS) of variables and choices? Yes aLOT of work i know, Lucas is a rich company... Microsoft have ALOT of money and have the Halo under their belt (the cortanna and MC (master cheif) love story?), bring Microsoft, Lucas writers, BioWare and Obsidian and you can accomplish this. Just think, having huge worlds to explore, so many side quests its unreal, a fantasticly brilliant plot and story that is divided into sections (read below). Bastila and Revan story continues, or even Revan & Carth!
With the 'sections', i mean why can't you break up the storyline into bits? Say if you chose the DSM then you would be into the Sith and leader with astila as your apprentice. Carth would be on the unknown world... good way to continue a story.
Or
LSM, you and Bastila create a jedi accademy in dantooine at the ruins of the one that was destroyed. Carth is a war hero in the republic and a story can continue for the Raven & Bastila love followers, a new sith threat is undergoing.
Or
LSF, you and carth seperate obviously due to you a jedi and he is a soldier, but you reunite in the war (yes it always continues) while a new sith lord arises, bastila gets killed or even assassinated.
If all these are included in a fully fledged world of NPC interaction, with every action you take depending the end game result, would be amazing. Morrowind did it. I cant see why you should be restricted to not killing everything you see ingame just because you are bored and have done coursework all day.
For the third game i would like to see a proper in depth story, EVEN THIS: we already know about the manda & republic wars, why cant we find out what happened or even go further and visit it (travel back in time, as say you choose LSM then you can reenact how you were back then). I would love to have the battle system kept as it was in KOTOR, more weapons, more aliens, more different dialogues, new worlds, travel to different galaxies? more powers (i find these a bit hard to control and a tad dissapointing in KOTOR I (based on how i havent played KOTOR II).
All in all, LA shouldnt have bypassed from the story. They didnt in the films and it worked wonders, this game isn't based on the films but in the past of the films so it should have a following story. Not one that is all over the place;
KOTOR I - Raven and Bastila
KOTOR II - no Raven and Bastila
KOTOR III - Raven and Bastila?
They are the main characters of KOTOR, period. Raven is your character and you are bonded with Bastila, you are in love with her (LSM), so the game is revolved around your choices and how you forsee yourself. The game demands that they are a huge part if not all part of the third game. If not, i feel as if alot of KOTOR fans will not follow it any more or will stick with KOTOR I, i for one would love to see them in action in KOTOR III and i can honestly say i can't see myself playing KOTOR II in thenear future.
My two cents, sorry bout the points and opinions being made all over the place Im just getting driven mad by not knowing what has happened to their love story.

There is only two ways Revan can return in the next KOTOR for me. Whoever makes it would make the single greatest mistake if they left Revan and Bastila out the main story.. KOTOR revolves around them.
A Prequel to KOTOR
You are born as Revan, and play the first half of the game is all about his training and how he found out about the true Sith. That way we would learn more of the Jedi Council, Canderous, Malak, Bastila, Jolee, Juhani, Carth, HK 47, T3-M4 (I find it hard to believe that Twilek built T3) and all the other characters from KOTOR 2, especially Kreia (I actually think Kreia is his mother) and Exile. You're attacked on the Dark Lords flagship, and then the
2nd and half begins when you regain all your memories.
Sequel to KOTOR 2
Revan and Bastila are your parents! LOL!

I would like a lot of the old cast to return, but not be playable. Just kind of insinuate that they are doing their own quest, or something of the sort.
I definitely think Revan and the Exile should be given voice actors, and a canon appearance. It's fun to customize characters and all, but I think it would be a little cooler to see what they were meant to look like.

I agree with Desmond. They have to have the canon out on the game when it comes out. If you look it up on wookiepedia.com or StarWars.com you should have their image and the historically accurate details on the character(s) of the games.

Dude, wookiepedia can be edited by anybody. But that still misses the point over what made K1 and K2 so much fun - that you can play the game how you want it.garzellm wrote:

The whole canon argument just goes around in circles - but I'd be interested for Desmod to give his reasons for why it would be "cooler" to have characters as they were "meant" to be.
Just a few thoughts for Kotor III
Yes Revan, Bastilla, and Carth should be big NPCs in the III one.
In Kotor II you main character became a prestige class which means he/she could train new jedi. Well for the stroyline of the III one how about have the Exile start a new jedi academy and train the "new generation" of jedi. Carth comes along and asks for the Exile to look into Revans dissapearance. Voila you have a padawan character you can start with. As this padawan goes along he/she runs into Bastilla who is looking for Revan. She joins only until you find Revan. You find Revan (who was fighting the true Sith) and they decide to leave this task to you.(Bastilla could be like Trask from Kotor I) During this journey Bastilla keeps telling you (for male chars.) that you remind her of Revan. After they meet they tell you that you are their child. There you go your dramatic twist. On your journey you end up getting stronger than Revan and you have a whole new party.
Just my idea on what should happen.
Hope you like it.

That is the most dummest idea, Exile being Revan's son. Kotor isn't Episode 5 and 6. "Delete {After they meet they tell you that you are their child}" . Stick with the program:mischief:Ganthalas wrote:Just a few thoughts for Kotor III

I have to agree with Mask just a dumb idea G. My idea for Ravan, Carth, and Bastilla is simple. Carth is Fleet Admiral of the Republic the highest position in the Republic Navy. Because of his close ties with Revan he is the one that sends you (new player-not the Exile) on the mission to find and aid Revan. Bastilla is one of the few Jedi to have survived the purge and since she was alive at the end of KOTOR II she can be considered the most experienced Jedi to be alive so she, Atton Rand, and Visas Marr are the leaders of the Jedi, specifically she is your Master( serving as a mentor figure). Revan will be found along the journey maybe as a NPC or maybe as a playable figure later in the game.

I dont want to sound rude but, what is up with fans wanting a new jedi in kotor 3. Kotor 2 had the Exile. Kotor 3 we have Revan and Exile. No new Jedi Knight for kotor 3, that will mest up the story line. Play as Revan or Exile, that is my option.

thats easy- it is called KNIGHTS of the Old Republic- not the story of Revan who no one knows where he is... or Tales of the Exile the guy who was suppose to find Revan- this is the story about the Old Republic- if u start with Revan- he has to be an all powerful guy who is doing free roam because no one told him to do anything he just left on his own- same for the exile who left to find revan with no instruction from anyone else.

also since i cant make posts longer than 8 lines- we have already examined the story of both Revan and the Exile- y not do a new story otherwise i think k2 shouldnt have said that revan went to the outer rim- maybe he should have fought the sith and taken place of the exile making him a continuing character through out the trilogy
