As you try to open the lid, you manage to twist it one third of a round, as it click the golden writing disappears, revealing an underlay of silver writing.
"
Each day a thief earns one gold piece.
On day one thief one has some gold pieces, thief two has three times as many, on day four thief two has twice as many as thief one.
On day four thief one betrays thief two and steals his gold. The guild takes half of what thief one steals from thief two.
How many gold pieces does thief one end up with at the end of day four?

I shake my head in disbelief,

I push my fingers to my eyes and with a short sigh " It seems Garl Glittergold is having quite the jokes on our expense or whoever it may be, it seems they didint really want the contents to be in the wrong hands.."
as i roll my eyes along the new silvery riddle "... It seems like i have more room for guesses here, it says each day a thief earns one gold piece.. however not that only one of the thief's earn one gold piece a day.. therefor i can also acknowledge this as a general rule for both.. then it says thief one has some gold pieces on day one.. i can assume one gold piece can also be some but i'll go for some and +1 for the day and thief two has 3 times the amount then on day 4 the thief has twice the amount so if i add 3 days worth of gold coins double the amount and compare it to 3 times the amount before + 3 days of gold worth it seems thief one started with 2 +1 gold coins and thief two with 9 there for on the 4th day thief one had 6 and thief 2 had 12, then after giving half of the 12 to the guild he remains with 12 gold coins instead of 18.
there is a good chance i am wrong since a made quite a few baseless assumptions but i guess its worth a try"
i take the 4th lever up, the 2nd down and leave the rest in the middle (this is assuming i was right with my first try on the previous riddle, you didint say which way was the right one for the 50) hopefully the answer is 12, if not i'll have to reconsider -_-

I've been kind of off and on about continuing this game considering my hectic schedule vs the casual nature of this game, but unfortunately, I was just fired so I can't really participate any longer, gotta focus my efforts on getting a new job (or at the very least, my current job back).

Just as the last time, your first try opens the scrollcase, revealing a host of papers.
All
the caravan passes over a hilltop and you see a small town below, built across a stretch of water it seems to be based around a small ferry. You seemingly have to cross here to get where you are going. Meliss stops the wagons for a short time "Now, half a day of free time for you guys. Lets team up at about sunset and take the last ferry over." then continues.
(Will give people some time to explore, have fun and group up. When you group up, the ones that do not say themselves that they join will be left behind)

"I'd like to explore the town... but I am afraid that I might draw to much attention and trouble if I wander around, I best stay with the caravan"

"gnomish underpants! i got it!" for a moment i smile and thank Dagor for his guiding hand then, "I see we have also reached a town, it seems Tymora is in our favor this day my friends"
i then examine the contents of the scroll case, the host of paper and check to see if anything else is now written on the glass (make any rolls necessary)
(by the way what happened to Gabriel?)

Meliss turns to Kuu'shar, "thats alright, good friend" he says and stops to drop off those who want to"
Kolgar
You see that the documents are a long record of orders obviously going to the "merchant", the last one including to assassinate this caravan, Inside the scroll case you also find a tiny dart, with its tip covered in some glass protector.
The glass on the outside of the scroll case is now left completely blank.
(Speaking of Gabriel and Serjit, their characters leave for town, except from that, if players do not come back before you decide to leave, their characters will be written out of the story, and other players will be searched for)

After a short investigation of the town you find that this side has two fine places to offer food and drink: the drunken merchant, and the drunken fish.

"Hmmm, I never liked merchants so I would vote for the drunken fish! Let's go and get wasted. After so many undead I think we need some fire water to cleanse the stench. What do you say Kolgar?"

"Hmm I dont have much taste for fish either but alright"
i would also like to make a gather information or any other roll necessary to find out more about each tavern, the town itself and of latest events in the town or in the kingdom in general.

You find that the inns in question are popular competing inns, where the drunken merchant is run by two barkeeps and feature well made food but little of entertainment. The drunken fish is on the other hand aimed at the fishermen and features lower prises, there the guests entertain themselves as they wish and please. The drunken fish also features a fish inside a great tank of booze, which is roasted and eaten on Sundays.

Doesn't look like anyone is very interested in continuing this story. Too bad since I keep checking to see if anyone is posting. Maybe the DM can post his position regarding this?
By the way blank I posted a few posts below that I would prefer the Drunken Fish tavern.
