Losing are we Fas? :D :p

@Eerhardt-Nah, the only one with something worth blackmailing was my pot-smoking English Lit teacher, and I quite liked him. :(

Losing? I am getting my butt whipped royaly at that! Again I blame it all on the name. Diplomacy is BS and compromise. Not meglomaniacs attacking each other and fighting. No sir that is war. Not diplomacy. My losing is all due to the name, which placed me in the wrong frame of mind to play the game. Alas that is what has let to my demise. I will be suing the company later on in my life, the emotional scars are rawer after i play the second round! :D

Black mailing teachers? I would have loved to do that, if they did anything worth blackmailing. They were all freaking prisses even the men.

Too bad, Ode... I have some fond memories of certain photo's... :D - No, seriously, it's different for each person but, man, the stuff I managed to pull off after some serious cramming... :D . I can honestly say I have some great memories of university/college ** SLURRs some more E.S.S. and lights a spliff **

@Eerhardt-My high school was very much of the "squash the student's independent will" variety. Thankfully it never worked, but I dread to think of what may happen if they ever learn subtlety. I haven't been to Uni yet but I rather suspect I'll enjoy that when I get there.

@Dottie-What'll it be?

Well i am still hanging on by an inch, but i am still there! Maybe i can stick around for another round. Oh yeah who is moving BS's moves?

by Kameleon
Noone's moving BS's pieces - unless he can find someone to step in and do his bidding (not Dottie's :) ) none of his pieces move until he gets back. And yes - if you continue to give hold orders you will keep Paris until BS returns and then you will die. :D

I was thinking of offering to GM the next game - what does everyone think about that? Obviously it's a long way away at the rate we're going :p

Some tea perhaps?

@CM: Il rig the land assignment next time so we dont meet until the end. :)

And the german armys wont move if BS dosnt submitt orders. So you will most likely surive for quite some time.

I was thinking that if the interest is big enough you could perhaps run two games at the same time, that way noone will be forced to do nothing but adjudicate.

Well, I wouldn't really mind just adjudicating, I could do what Waverly originally intended to do, which is to be like a commentator - the bane of people with cunning plans and the saviour of stupid people who don't get what's going on. :D

*pokes Ode* You're sure you're not Eerhardt in that Ode suit?

EDIT - Diplomacy players, go and vote for the Dip thread - it only takes about 4 5-star votes to get a rating and it might get people to pay attention, comment and possibly become interested.

I can see what you mean about high school :( - I was commenting on exams in general. And that's where Uni comes in :) - some great cramming stories there. As far as high school is concerned, I'm not unbiased: my parents were both teachers in the same school. Even though they never explicitly forced us into getting high grades, you can imagine the pressure... if I dared to fail a test, they'd know about it before I myself even knew ** SLURRs some more E.S.S., takes another hit from his spliff and passes it on **
