Yeah - it is like the entier creative population of the entertainment industry is now writers for various political figures around the world instead of doing something worthwhile

Well, there aren't any good games since no-one is interested on focusing the game and story itself instead of graphics...
And most of the games are buggy, like the FM2006 you mentioned, since developers are in hurry to send the game out to get money from it

So true, so true. There is no profit in good games, just pretty games - created for consoles and ported to PC.
I almost felt sadden when I played Fallout 2 through again last week. The feeling and joy from such games is not likely to come back. If it wasn't because I knew Baldurs Gate 2 inside out, I'd play that again as well.

I know that nostalgy feeling... did just started playing Fallout 2 again... (mostly for getting info and data to expand the faq -thread...)
*sight*
I'm often wondering how many great games there would be if only at least small portion of that energy and resources used to graphics would have been used to game design...
*sight, again*

Yeah - it is a favorite pet peeve of mine. I know there are many who feel the same way, but apparently we drown in the masses of people wanting a fast action kick in games instead of prolonged substance and story.
We are dinosaures ... color me purple and call me Barney.
Oh well, think it is time to sleep a bit (and dream of good computer games

Night all.....

For me the problem isn't graphics. One of the games I've spend most time with is quake, and that was only about graphics when it was made.
I think it has more to do with entertainment industry playing it safe. Why should you risk developing new game mechanics and interfaces when you can just release civ 63435 and people will buy it because it says "Sid" on the box?
edit - Night Xandax. Dream naughty dreams.

The FM2006 was horrible, and whatever strange things I encountered I found it to be a "known bug". Well, if it's a known bug, why don't they do anything about it

I don't have much time to spend on relaxation, but when I have time I love playing a good game - problem is that they are all so boring so I rather continue working.
Good night, Xandax!
I'll hit the sheets too, soon.

Yeah, totally agreeing there...
And what's worrying me, is that I'm not actually old, 20 years. I shouldn't feel ancient yet :speech:

Night Xandax, may you dream of worthy sequel to Fallout 2

Yeah, that's irritating.
It's actually wonder that people still keep on buying so low-grade products in so high price...

I'm not into apocalyptic religions. Let's just say, a fourth moderator for poker, and let it go at that.

Ageing can occur - or not occur - at many levels. If Kipi is ancient and Xandax is a dinosaur wrote:Good evening, Mr Prokaryotes, how is life?[/i]

Because we don't know how buggy and faulty and degenerated it is when we buy it

Only if it's strip poker. I'm not into Mammon.
And regarding games, King of the Dragon pass still weights heavy on my conscience.
@C Elegans: No, I say that because I belive mr Sleep might hear us.

Works for me. At the very least, the embarassment some cultures feel towards public nudity would yield a few choice minutes of merriment.
And regarding games, King of the Dragon pass still weights heavy on my conscience.
So it should. That sucker is one hell of an addictive title, and one of my all time favorites.
Good evening, Mr Prokaryotes, how is life?
Glad you didn't post Prokrustes, CE, which is the way I read that, at first. I'd hate to be on a bed prepared by that man.
