No, this is just one assignment for a half-credit first-year Oenology/Viticulture course. That I took as an elective.

And that escape clause only works if no one else manages to get photos. If they get in, then arguably I could also have at the same winery.
That's always good to know Mag. :D
Like the avatar. What is it though?
I couldn't fit the whole sketch my brother did for me onto my scanner, so I only got a part of it on. I then played with it to make it go from black and white to black and red. That screwed with the integrity of the picture based on how he did the sketch to stand out against the white paper whoever. It is an earth elemental throwing a rock with a moon above him, surrounded by trees.

Well, that's what it should look like. It really did screw up how things look doing everything I did to it. :o

@ Tony, it's SoCo Saturday? I may join you later, not much SoCo left, but I can settled into more wine if I have the nerve to get hammered like last night again. Draining 2 liters of wine before heading to the bar is what screwed me.

If it was someone different who refused to let you take photos then that would count.
Or you could find a winery that no-one else is going to, maybe.

@Mag, it still looks good, even if no-one could tell what it's supposed to be. :p

The idea is that I have to try as many wineries as necessary until I find one that'll let me take pictures.

Thanks. He hasn't done any art in close to two years, so he didn't do nearly as well on this as either of us thought he would. Still, I asked for a charcoal sketch, and he gave me one. I like it, even if he is rusty and had to rush it. :D

@ Rav: They said it was 'required' for my business course, but I emailed the professor and explained how horrible I was feeling (I also missed the class the day before the thing) and he said it wasn't a big deal. Made me do some extra bookwork but he was nice about it (which I've found is an exceedingly rare trait amongst professors  ).

@ Ar: Wow, all that work for an elective course? That really blows.

Mag! Welcome friend! :D Yes it's SoCo saturday and, as always, you are invited: hell you'd probably fit in quite nicely here! :D

Ahh, that's good. :)
I think the policy here if anyone missed or failed it, would be a resit. Who wants to go though that again in summer?

@Aramant, so much for that loophole then. :(

Perhaps I'll go back to drinking. :mischief: I think I'll be alone in the house tonight. I signed my lease today. It had a ton of crap in it, but, now I have my own apartment in paperwork at least. It's mine next friday. I am SO happy with that.

I need food though, and I hope it's done cooking.

Oh totally, I love being sick   :( ... No but seriously, I was lucky because if it was any other professor they would've made me come early and clean up afterwards just for implying my illness was more 'important' than their course...

Oh God man, that'd be awful... :(

Congrats Mag! Living the ultimate bachelor life now... Do I sense a shag-pad set-up? :D

Is anyone else finding it impossible to sign into MSN Messenger today?

Nevermind, just fixed my problem.

@Mag, that's good. :D

@Tony, well I doubt it will be too hard to pass. After all Universities like having students pass their courses, otherwise they might go bankrupt when students decide to study and part with their cash somewhere else. :p

@Aramant, I can use MSN fine, though technically it's going via Trillian.

That's true, especially because it'll make them good in the GPA ratings compared to other colleges. I don't know if this is exciting to you at all but London seems like a fun place to bum around too. At least you aren't going to Detroit....

I'll be back in a half hour or so, I'm going to get some food.
Congrats Mag! Living the ultimate bachelor life now... Do I sense a shag-pad set-up? :D
Perhaps. I'm trying to get my ex Lori and her daughter to move in with me to be honest with you though. I haven't told her yet, just informed her she was welcome to come out at no cost for a vacation with her little girl and see me for as long as she likes. If that doesn't go well, I'll go for the shag-pad. I'm thinking by summer time I'll be in great shape and well, I'll go hunting after work.

I've found it impossible to sign into MSN for months.

@Tony, *shrugs* I suppose so, though I'm quite keen to get back home. It's a long journey.
I know little about what Detroit is like in comparison.
See you later.

I just got some marks back on the 2 courseworks I did before Christmas. *happy dance* :D :D :D

@Mag, good luck in persuading Lori. :)

Good grades?

I just realized something. That asian bartender who was feeding my friends and I drinks last night looked very much like that Korean girl Caroline that I dated for a few months. I hope I didn't end up giving her any of my money. She was a greedy she-dog.

Thanks! We broke up years ago, and she's been in Seattle for about 3 and a half years I think now. It's odd, both of us have been wondering where we would be at right now if I hadn't left her. Her daughter is a pointed reminder of how much both of us changed since we were 19.

Yeah. What gave it away? :p
67% on the animation I posted up here before.
Work receiving a grade of 65% +

A Flash movie on your chosen topic that is presented in an imaginative and entertaining way. Graphics would be largely self-created rather than clip art. Substantial use of animation and a range of interaction styles (click, drag/drop, text etc.). Flash development conventions followed. Storyboard showing the key elements of the product. The animation will include appropriate use of sound and be appropriate in style to its audience. The written part of the coursework (including the text in the animation itself) will be free from spelling or grammatical errors.
73% on the other one (it had lots of diagrams) - and I expected to barely scrape the pass mark of 40% on that. :D
70+ marks will be awarded to pieces of work that follow fully the requirements both in the design and the pseudo code, accompanied by a report that describes fully the process followed and show a critical understanding of relevant concepts, tools and process.
So, I'm happy with that. :D
And in shock about the second one...

*nods* We've both been through a lot and the past few years have forced us to deal with keeping our own selves taken care of on top of all the crap thrown at us. I turned into jaded drunk, and her a burned out mom. Oh damn, I sound old. :o

Meh, wanna do up that Sylvan Campaign? :p
