I object. The very idea of me in one of
those contests is silly. I don't compete, anyway; JI will vouch, we're a very peacable, calm people. Competition is nothing; shooting the breeze, just relaxing, eating junk food... that's our way of life.

I obviously misinterpreted what I was seeing. Funny, I have seen that sort of thing before, while hanging on to the grass to stop from falling off the planet. It certainly looked like competition, but my judgement may have been impaired

I'm not sure if you just felt like saying that or you were making fun of my irrational fear.

Oh, and the worst of it, I used to get carsick.

If I started to get it, we'd have to stop, making the whole trip even longer.

I used to get carsick while reading in the car. I found the perfect solution: I stopped reading. I just played gameboy or slept. Tommorow though, its back to reading.

Yeah, reading used to trigger it for me. But even when I wasn't, I still got sick. I was probably reading too many signs, or something like that. I did find sleeping was a good way to avoid it, now I'll just listen to music, as while I can read, I really don't want to risk it.

I've never had any form of motion sickness in my whole life, which is weird because literally everybody in my family with the exception of my mom (father, brother, sister in other words) get sick everywhere we go. It sucks.
For that matter I haven't puked since i was in third grade... I specifically remember because KFC came out of my nose. Maybe I should stop typing?

I've puked on many a roadside, though I've never gotten boat sickness, train sickness, or motorbike sickness. And I've done plenty of the last two, including a trip on motorbike, not even a flutter.
And an old tip, ginger biscuits seem to work well with halting potential vomitting, though judging from my cat, eating grass seems to do the reverse. So let's not eat grass if feeling queasy.

My mother praises ginger capsules like no other.
Ive ne'er puked on a roadside, but let me tell you, there are very few public bathrooms in the middle of arizona. I may or may not have 'painted' the Painted Desert'.
@Tony... ew...

Okay, I'm in a bit of a pickle here, about how much of an idiot I should be with my assignment. Basically, we have to do a marketing mix for a product in Bom (business organisational management), and to ensure we're working, every week we have to hand in a 'diary' of sorts, which our teacher agrees, is annoying and a waste of time. Now, two weeks back, I was sick, so I did minimal work that week, and didn't hand in my diary.
So now I'm doing it up now, as it seems I still have to hand it in. Of course, the smartarse within me loves to find the light.
Problems Encountered (weaknesses):
• Sickness, as I was ill for a large part of the week, significantly reducing the work that I completed
Now, I was thinking that was acceptable, so I didn't really think a big deal about this. But now, I've got to the next point...
Steps to overcome the problem/s encountered:
The question is... should I should or shouldn't I be stupid and say things along the lines of 'bedrest, not attending school, antibiotics' etc.?
So, sitting here unsure, I read on, it seems it's getting worse...
Decision Making
To stay home, not do any work etc.
And finally
Reflection:
Did you achieve your goals? Why/not? What were some of your strengths in this process? What would you do differently next time?
My reflection... well, I know my strength in the end was my immunity system, being able to fight back. As for achieving goals, well, halfway through the week it became to get better, so I guess so. Differently? I'd wear more warm clothing to reduce my chances of getting the cold.
*sigh* Not sure how many liberties I should take...

Change that you would move your work outside, to avoid being caught up with all the cold causing abcteria in the home. The only way to score a home run on this is to tie it in really well to the actual content on the project, i love messing with my teachers, especially the republicans, let me know more specifics on the project and I could help you a bit more.

Well I never usually pass up an opportunity, but two things are affecting me. One, the teacher is a good bloke, so I don't want to annoy him, and secondly, I'm currently topping the subject, so I need to keep it that way to gain a high exit mark.
It's a marketing plan on a product, the product being an automated vacuum cleaner. It sounds weak, but it leaves a lot of room for thought, eg. advertising on billboards with the slogan 'The king of the jungle never vacuums... why should you?'.
And I have no laptops, just desktop computers, so moving outside would be extremely annoying... and don't even start on me moving my bed outside to sleep.

An apple a day?
Good natured humor in projects make a lot of teachers happy, give them the gigglies. Just dont go too far, and if you have high marks, with room to maneuver, go for it, jsut be careful.
With any vacuums, the opportunitys for sexual humor are boundless, and with automated sytstem... :mischief:
If being sick was a legit problem, list it, and just be honest with the rest of the form if thats as far as your willing to go with this guy.

Oh yeah, the guy knows I was sick, but I just have to hand it in to prove that I am doing the work. He hates the whole idea, but we have to get our work moderated outside the school, so we have to have things like that, or we get marked down.

Um... Phreddie... I go to a Catholic school... I don't think so.

Well the priests cant mark you down for talking about things in terms so subtle that they wouldnt be able to understand what you were talking about with out themselves having, say, intimate experience with the subtly implied subject matter, can they?

*blinks*
And I thought you having 8 parents was ludicrious, but from what you get up to with vacuums, maybe not...:speech:

I was talking about their sucking power mate, not that Ive had any intense experiences with a vacuum.
On that note, Im off to bed, have to try and finnish this book before the beach.

That's the other thing, this guy is the head of religious education, not that you'd pick it, since he's had a drinking and swearing problem, but he's pretty funny, so I have been slipping in humour throughout my assignments.
