Hong Kong, New Zealand, Oz and the US. Its part of my course- we get 11 weeks off to go and terrorise patients all over the world!

LOL

Lucky you.
But that will be quite different climate... HK must be very hot and humid, while NZ and OZ are in winter now, though I doubt they get as cold and rainy as here.
@Flagg: Goodnight.

@Flagg- Goodnight. Sweet dreams..
Minerva- this is my problem. How do I pack a suitcase for all the different climates, with smart stuff for wearing in hospitals and cool stuff for hot places.
I'll have to get somebody to sit on it to get it closed....!

Isn't it a bit past your bedtime?

Technically yes. After all, I sleep all weekend to make up for all that extra work I do mon-fri. That's why I'm never on at the weekend...

Extra work...hmmm...c'mon whats the real reason??
My computer just crashed quite horribly. I am not amused.

I figured something was up - it took you a little while to comeback with a snappy one-liner.
My PC is bust but my parents went to a wedding in the states today so my dad brought his base unit down - he's a goodun.
So I'm ODing on the inernet to make up for my withdrawal. I've been on all afternoon and purchased large quantities of goods. Including an MP3 player

Internet shopping doesn't give you the same rush as proper shopping does it? Maybe its a girl thing...or maybe its cos my father's computer is sh!te. He reckons he gave me his old (slow) modem but I think he got them confused. Mine is a lot faster. I have neglected to tell him this so far...
Any idea where I can look for a cheap CD walkman? I am fed up of walking into uni with no tunes.

Yeah, don't volunteer *any* information until you're asked
No, but a different kind of buzz. You get the added benefit of stuff turning up on your doorstep.
Cheap on the internet you mean? Hmm, if I were you I'd wait and buy one in the US or Japan or wherever else you go (Australian $ may be cheaper). Don't got to the highstreet - they just rip you off. Comet is usually best. Try Argos in town or on the internet. That's about the cheapest methinks.
Staying up late tonight? Been up to anything interesting today?

Just been frustrated at home. Avoiding the application form.
Shopping for suitcases with my father. He neglected to tell me that we actually had a decent one (with wheels) at home until we had been halfway round town. Cue huge argument. We're still not speaking.
Going back tomorrow. Thank the Lord....

Sory but that is funny. My dad brought a printer down for me but neglected to bring a printer cable with him. We have dozens in Newcastle but I said "What the f*ck good are they to me up there". I went out and bought one. But I've learned my lesson over the years - the old coot won't change so there's no point in getting mad
I just have a laugh.
