Nelson was the standard hair metal but sucked worse than any other. I hate them with more passion than Winger.

Actually, hair metal killed itself out, the market got flooded with carbon copy bands that looked and sounded like everyone else. Then came Nirvana, and they were different, so hair metal died.

Is hair metal what I call glam rock. The type which made Guns 'N' Roses popular?

Nirvana was grunge, and thank heavens that period is over.

@BS Is this the "Nelson" that youre talking about?

After The Rain
Nelson

Look in the mirror girl, by now you should know
You're living in a fantasy, and you can't let go
He never really loved you from the start
The only thing he ever gave you was a broken heart
Don't be afraid to lose what was never meant to be

After the rain washes away the tears
And all the pain
Only after the rain
Can you live again

I know the emptiness you feel inside
You're thinking if you break away, you'll never survive
I'm waiting as my heart beats just for you
Come on and take my hand and I'll pull you through
But things will never change until you want them to

You'll see the sun appear to light the way
Only after the rain
Can you hope to find true love again
He never really loved you from the start
The only thing he ever gave you was a broken heart
Come on and take my hand and I'll pull you through
You know the time has come for you to face the truth

Please dont beat me up! :D
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

@Tam...Hair metal was probably most represented by Poison, G n R were at the extreme of thet setting, they were a lot rawer and more intense with their sound. :D

@Ty, that's them. God have mercy on you for quoting such lyrics. :p :D

LOL, I have nothing against that band, just the fact that a lot of unwholesome things came out of that period. MTV "cult status" and stage diving amongst others. What do you think of the punk scene now, Aegis. Talking about Hives, Vines and White Stripes etc. ;)

Later BS ;)

Those are just the extremes, which is all the media focuses on. The majority of the punk/grunge scene are people like me. Opiniated, well thought out and expressive people.

I've been to a few festivals and concerts Aegis. I'm aware of the way the music trends work. Each generation rates itself higher then the last. Its just that the depressing music isn't my taste. I like my punk, provided its not just a series of power chords after power chords...
