Talk and Tan. :D
**Imagines AC tanned with a large white patch in the shape of a laptop....in a 2-piece...eyes glaze over**

EDIT-Reckon you could do one of my (sort of) DF character, @AC? :)

US Central. Pretty far East... I dunno which anymore. :( ;)

Gotta run and get the kids from the airport in a few hours, and it takes me that long to look representable to the public every morning. :D

They'll be exhausted when they get back, so I'm not too worried about what to do after that.

I know! And still, half of our neigborhood (I don't care if I spelled that wrong) has left for work... How do they live, I wonder?

Once the schoolyear starts, though, I'll be gone for most of my time. I'm training to be a part-time Substitue teacher.

I don't know, I know by the end of high school I was bone-weary and about ready to drop from all the 6am starts though. :(

A substitute teacher for a high school or a primary school?

Neither. Jr High. :)
Highschoolers are too old and backtalk too much. (Around here. It's all that tv they're getting into thier systems, I think.)
Grade levels are mostly too young and I don't have that kind of patience for anybody else's kid except my own. :)

So, it jr high for me. They backtalk and some should still be back in grade level, but what the heck. :)

That depends on how you treat the students. I know my classes could usually drive off a lousy substitute teacher in a few days, but we had some good ones who lasted weeks, until our normal teachers got back.
Power trips never went down well with my year... :D

Back in 7th grade, out Language Arts teacher was suffering from some serious migrains and she was out for a quarter of the year.
We had several subs, and we kept chasing them all away. It was fun.
I remember one, Miss Shmidt (: confused :) who was smaller than all of the students in our class. We hated her with a passion, but she stayed for days before she finally left.
Those were the good ol' days. :D

I just want to teach a class of students that I can have some interesting conversations with, not kick them around the room to get them to do thier work. :)

Most of our substitutes teachers didn't make it to lunch. We had one who like to drink black coffee constantly, and we started carrying those chocolate laxetives, just in case you know. :D

It was so easy to slip it in his coffee too

Moring all :)
