it's foolish for any terroists to take responisblity. first of all, the US will hunt them down til the end of the world to get the. its better to be hidden, and use our fear to their advantage. the terror of the unknown enemy. now we will always look behind us. now we will always question our fellow man.
and our own security.

terror has struck, and it struck deep.

we will never be the same.

I don't think who ever did this don't have the guts to take responsibility for the act since punishment will be merciless .. It's 3:30 am here in Istanbul and i am too curious to sleep .. I wonder if they will be able to find any black boxes from the planes .. They will reveal many mystries ..

@Raistlin: From what I understand, they arleady know how the planes were hijacked. According to officials, and those who called from cell phones, the hijackers used knives to take control.

@Jenna: My thoughts go out to you, and I hope your family is safe.

I don't think there is as much chaos as it appears. Yeah, there is chaos, but Americans are uniting to get through this.

Israel have moved their tanks into a towm at the West bank. I really hope the attacks on the US will not be further used as an excuse to increase the violence in the Israel/Palestine conflict :(

JB, I hope you father is safe.
Thorin: A thought to your father, he must be devastated. And to your friends who have lost their parents.

Bush made clear in his speach that a those who harbour the terrorist who commited these acts, would be viewed as equal to the terrorist himself. I hope this will prevent any nation from trying to protect and hide whoever/whatever organisation that's responsible.

Good night all. I'll try to catch some sleep again.

This is the Pearl Harbour of our generation. Nothing has ever been so blatent and callous as to strike at civilian installations. The co-ordination, cost on preperation for this act of terrorisim is unprecedented. I agree that this is a truly terrible day and that those who commited this crime should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
BUT. the United States should not destroy a nation harboring the those responsible. The act of terrorism is the attack on civilian targets. If the United states presses it attacks into nations that merely contain criminals and thus destroy entire countries. They are no better than the monstrosites that destroyed them.

When blinded by grief, it is far easier to lash out and destroy any who have had a hand in causing you that pain, the trait of a great state is to look for the peaceful resolution to bring the culprits to court. Peace is our gift and revenge is our vice.

My thoughts go out to all those that lost friends and family in the bombings, but please do not think in the terms of eye for an eye. That is not justice.

you know, i thought that once my dad retired from the army we won't have to deal with terrorism like what we went through in the '80s living in europe.
now i have to deal with it all over again.

i'm alot calmer now, after the initial panic, but still no word.
it should about 9 pm in maryland. and no one's home.

I have confirmed that I lost two long-time friends of mine at the Pentagon today...almost lost an Uncle as well(since the area that got destroyed housed his office) but fortunately he was on the other side at a 'boring meeting' as he called it.

Here's being thankful for boring meetings.

Also I have two more friends of mine that worked at the WTC and I have heard no information on either of them. I am hoping for the best and my thoughts and prayers are with those who are grieving as I am. :(
