Darkpoet's eyes narrowed as he saw the drooling sheriff. Going over to Ms. T's store, his hand went to his gun.
"Not here too many witnesses, I'll get you sheriff. There will be nothing left after the buzzards get you." Darkpoet thought.

Vixen knocks at the dress shop door.

After receiving no reply, she raps on the wood again, more impatiently this time.

She suddenly hears a faint cry, 'Come in my dear', and opens the door....

"Well hello again sheriff. I heard about the explosion last night. Whatever is this town coming to?" Smiling at the sheriff, Ms T watches the umm "bearded lady" walk into the new store.

"Forgive me, I shouldn't comment on someones personal appearance, but that has to be the ugliest and hairiest woman, I've ever seen.Oh well we can't all be blessed I suppose." Ms T smiles and asks "What have you found out about that attempt to kill that miner and that awful explosion?" Taking the sheriff by the arm, Ms. T smiles. Maybe we could walk over to the hotel cafe and have some tea."

Vixen peered into the must darkness of the shop. 'Can I have some service please' she yelled impatiently.

Suddenly she spied a creature, maybe male, maybe female near her. Swallowing the hysteria overwhelming her, she took a step backwards....

Aaron looked at Kramo, a bit surprised. He had heard about Kramo before, they all had; but the information Loner had given Aaron differed from what she had told the others.

Aaron sighed. "If he bought a shop in town," he said, "he'll probably stay around for a bit. It's a tactic he's employed before. Gathering evidence against him is always nigh-impossible, he covers his tracks too well...As far as I'm concerned, the best thing would be to blow his head off."

Loner looked at him sideways.

"But then Miss Loner here would have to arrest us," he continued. "Moving into town to keep a closer eye on him would be the best thing I think; but it's always tough if the hotels won't serve Indians...On the other hand, it might be good to have a lookout here, ready for him, in case he goes on any late-night forays, or tries to escape from the scene of one of his crimes. We could split up?" He sighed again. "I'm open to suggestions," he said.

"To tell you the truth, Kramo," Loner said, "I don't think it matters if you're in town or out of it. I don't think the town itself is endangered by your presence; it's you personally he's after. No matter where you go, he'll come after you. It's up to you..."

Loner's heart stopped at that suggestion, but she said nothing. Ah well, she thought, you always knew this was inevitable, didn't you?...Just get a backbone and bear it, for crying out loud...You can take a bullet, but you can't take this?...

Blue, in the meantime, was nodding slowly. "That sounds like a good plan," he said, while Loner polished off her whiskey and started on another. "We will stay here, and be on the lookout. We can intercept suspicious dealings, if any, and send word to you. Every once in a while one of us can go through town, just to stay close to things. Just make sure you keep the lines of communication open."

"WHOOOO-HOOOO!!!!!" yelled Tsai, jumping up and dancing around. "Just like old times! Just like I said! Although," he said, stopping momentarily, "I sure do wish you were riding with us again, Loner." He then resumed his jubilation.

All this time Aaron was watching Loner, because he knew what she was thinking.

Kramor looked at Aaron, he knew he made a misstake.
"You know what, that might not work. I can't act, so it wouldn't work out. I'll just camp out here, I'll just need food. Yes, that is probably better."
