That is a possibility, but most people i speak to about the horror genre mention them so perhaps it is just a rare thing rather than out of publication altogether. I gave away a copy of "This other eden" by Ben Elton once, i never did get it back
Plus i must get my copy of American Psycho back before my cousin goes off to Uni!
Ysh, you are right, there is a similarity, Koontz' novels are always shorter though, plus they tend to have more characters. I haven't read any Herbert yet, i might look into it, i am a little tired of the horror genre though. I did quite enjoy Richard Laymons style though, he creates quite the page turners
Koontz?? What is that old saying? "there is no worse time waster than a bad book"? I read his Strangers, I was enthralled, then severely disappointed at the end

If a book is about aliens and little green men, I would prefer to know from the outset
Herbert can be out and out horror, as King can, yet like King he is also known for his psychological and supernatural thrillers

Good evening, all. I am quite happy because I finally see the end of this article
@Tyb: Listening to Joy Division, well that really makes one feel happy, doesn't it?
@BS and Aegis: Hello, how are you doing?

@ Ty, I wouldn
't have a problem with them except for the fact that they have captured 3 of my cities
@Baron....Cowboys? I should have known, I am quickly becoming surrounded by Cowboys fans

Well, fortunately not everyone can be a cowboy fan. Scayde says one of y'all has a fantasy football league

@BS: So, the Persians are giving you a headache? I suppose it is as it should be, historically

I don't play Civ 3, the husband has it somewhere here.
@Tyb: Talking Heads? You seem to be into the kind of music many of my friends liked when there were younger, 80's new wave and postpunk and such
The scientific article I'm writing is a report of one of my studies. It must be finished tomorrow, and I have procrastinated for I don't know how long because it's not a very funny article.
@BaronTx: Hello, and welcome here

Helps to keep folks on their toes.
Well, I gotta head for awhile, got company at the door.

@BS: So, good luck to you then
@Tyb: I had no idea you are a new wave fan, I haven't been around much in the bar threads lately...and when I'm here, I never have the time to read back. Dottie mentioned something about your brother sharing music taste with him, that's all I know. So, what are your favorite music from that era?
@BaronTX: I hope you will like it here

As you may have noticed, the "pub threads" are for chatting and joking and general socialising, whereas there's also discussion threads where a topic may be debated.
