Oh boy.... I think AC needs to be here for that, because we were the ones that started it.

She might be right after all, but I just feel that way about druids that all they could be is true neutral because thats the way nature works and druids base their entire ideals around nature. Thats the way D&D does it, thats the way I learned, thats what I believe in. It makes the most sense. And chaotic neutral things tend to do things at random and have no base belief at all. Under those terms, it wouldnt make much sense for a druid to do things completely at random. But I could be wrong.

My NwN char is a chaotic neutral druid/thief ;)

@Ysh that was AC's point but I believe whole heartedly in the Baldurs Gate/D&D rules. I think truly that nature works in the balance and things that go against the balance disrupt the balance, and goes against the natural way of being, also disrupting the circle of life in nature and thereby going against the druid.

So IMO NwN is dead wrong. But again this is just my belief and I believe in it whole heartedly. Argue if you want-I like to defend myself. :D

BTW-welcome Ysh. Ive been hoping for more friendly people to stop by, its been basically me and Vic.

@Ty, in essence I agree, in reality from a role playing point of view, I find it more fun :D What is good about NwN is that your alignment is affected by your actions....

What about the classes in NwN? A druid/thief of all things?? :D A ranger/druid, or a ranger/thief maybe...my son has a barbarian/druid/wizard!

LOL! :D Thank you, but are you saying that Vic is unfriendly?? :D ;) btw - I was only popping in briefly ;)

Good evening @all. :)

I see you are discussing druids and AD&D, something i know very little about...I have never played a druid in any game, at the moment I play ranger/rogue in NWN.

I thought I was saying that Vic was friendly. Ah well thats what I meant to say, the only friendly people around so far today have been Vic and I and now you. CE has been around here somewhere too, but she hasnt really stopped by to talk. I consider her friendly too even if she scares me. :D ;)

Thats kind of cool for NwN-where youre actions determine your alignment. I think more games should be that way, though I think if you are certain classes you should be restricted in your actions, otherwise you become a fallen of your class-ex a paladin does bad things-you become a fallen paladin, ect....

Though I have never played NwN, I did watch it, and have heard what people have to say about it, and frankly, Im probably never going to get it. Judging by what Ive heard, it seems NwN has some kinks to work out.

So how have things been for you today, Ysh?

EDIT-Greetings CE, another friendly face. YAY! Im happy! My afternoon might not be dead after all :)

Hi CE! :) I hope you are well! I am just logging off, but thought to say you should try a druid if you like rangers ;) My first CRPG character was a ranger in BG1 then a stalker in BG2. After taking a druid avenger through BG2 I realised how weak my ranger was in many areas compared to my druid :) *hides from A-c* :D

LOL! :D Well CE has just dropped in here, and I wouldn't be afraid of her - she is very nice unless you are Dottie! :D

I think so too ;)

Well so far I have had not real problems with the game :) no more so than SoA...

Things are good thank you - a nice quiet weekend :) I am getting off now, though. I hope you are well also - see you later ;)

Darn. I was hoping you would stay longer. I need the company. I get lonely and bored sometimes.

Regardless, I took a barbarian through the game once in BG2, but I had more fun with the Avenger the second time through. I then used the Totemic Druid, I had fun, but I liked the Avenger better. After that I used a Ranger of some sort the 4th time through and had a good time. But I liked the Avenger best.

Chaotic Nuetral fits me more, Tibbs. I am Choatic Nuetral. I am Druid. And am DF Chaotic Nuetral Druidic Thief... That's what I believe, that's what I know. So :p

;) :D

Hi CE. :)

And, Ysh... TOTEMICS RULE ALL! :p :D :D :D

Hi CE. :)
Greetings AC. Another friendly face! YAY! Im so happy!
Anyway, weve been talking about druids so this conversation suits you well.

Chaotic neutral is a good alignment because there is a lot less stress involved because you really dont worry about consequences. But I still think the true neutral fits the druid better. As I said to Vic, you could be right on this, but I whole heartedly believe that the true nuetral fits the druid better.

So hows your day going? Still thinking about the trip to Minnesota?

EDIT-Well Totemics are good but I think the Avenger is the best! :D ;)

We're all entitled to our own opinons.

I only plan to stick around for a while. Gotta prep for the big race tonight, ya know. As for Minnesota, I have to see yet. Still deciding if the kids can take another 8 hour trip.

I hope I don't scare you off, though! :D

Regarding druids, I like to play simple characters in CRPG:s, that's why I haven't tried the druid other than in Diablo II, which is not an RPG so it's totally different anyway. I said to Astafas the other day that I don't like spelllcasting and I don't like talking, and he just shook his head and said "are you sure you really should be playing CRPG:s?" :D

What race tonight? Are you reffering to the Busch Grand National race at 8? As far as tomorrows race-If your online-Ill be sure to give you updates on the Brickyard 400. Today was qualifying and Tony Stewart is on the pole.

8 hour trip? The kids are coming are they not? Sounds like it will be an endurance trip. :D ;)

What Astafas said would have probably been something I also would have said. Though, to an extent, I agree, if the talk is long and boring *darn Jan! * then I dont like all the talk. And sometimes spellcasting can get confusing and difficult. Sometimes its best to relieve stress and hack and slash your way through the game. :D
