*laughs* but we would need to edit where we plagiarized to avoid...erm...sounding hypocritical! :D

No, no, no. What we did is called ‘homage’ and ‘parody’! :p :D

Dear Friends,
Given events currently unfolding in what I could laughing call my real life, I have decided to take a sabbatical from posting for a time. I am uncertain how long this period of time will be. I have considered writing Thantor out of the story as well, given what liberties Gwally will no doubt take with him (I shudder at the thought), but I think the character is a useful one within the story structure and so have decided to leave him as is, for you to utilize as you see fit.

The current energy and creativity of the story is wonderful and I regret that I will not be able to partake in it. More to the point, I will miss the relationships I have found here, relationships which all of you have graciously allowed me the privilege of sharing. This is particularly true of you, Dragon Wench. If I may say so publicly, you are one of the most extraordinary and remarkable women -- people -- I have ever met. Aloha wau i'a oem, mi anam cara.

I will endeavor to return as soon as I am able.

Godspeed,
Than

I think I am right in saying, along with Sleep, that the Flames treasure your input into the thread and thank you for your efforts. I hope everything gets sorted out. :)

So, how is everyone? I trust everyone is in good health and good spirits.

I think I want to do a quick rundown of events:

Firstly, welcome to the new writers in the thread, you have injected new impetus into the thread, but can I remind you, and I did this as well, to think realistically before you post. This is nothing bad directed at you Maharalika, but I need your introduction of the anti-magic golems as an example.

Would they really have appeared? Is it likely that we find 3 golems that appear out of no where? One is a possibility, but it takes great magic for one to appear out of no where, for three? An unlikely event. Even though we have the Shadow Master, who is extremely powerful as an enemy, he wouldn't be able to control three golems at once.

With reference to the above, I think we can all slow down a little. As the others have mentioned, they are struggling to meet with real life time demands, let alone a story. I know Dragon Wench is trying to write for her degree and manage other events at the same time. Georgi is at University at the moment, Gwalchmai, well actually, what does Gwal really do? (: D :D ;) ) Seriously, Gwal has a lot to manage. We all do. It's just a request that we all don't need to post as soon as someone else does, take time, think about what you write and consider the others at the same time, maybe their character didn't want to go down a passage, or other things.

I don't want you to take this as heavy-handed criticism. I mean, I got exactly the same speech from Gwal and the others when I started, and I thought I would share the fun. :D Seriously though, this thread is about enjoying your writing, sharing an experience with other people, and a way for us to communicate without being serious. Enjoy it! :)

@DW: Giving out hugs now, rereads post, damn better luck next time. :(

*Leaving=hug from DW* Tempting...

Do not take this post to seriously. I'm as sad about Thantor leaving as the next. But perhaps a bit of not so innocent fun may lighten the mood a bit.

As for the two golems there, I figured that this "attack" was carefully planned by someone and just did not appear from nowhere, hence there was some preparations at hand. Perhaps the golem was a diversionary tactic and the two golems upstairs were related to the one outside? Likely not, however, attacking the DF's stronghold is deemed not an easy task therefore an all-out battle-straight-on your-face ploy would not work... especially if doing something covertly would be deemed more prudent yet effective.

At any rate, I understand what the present situation is and I will try to come up with a storyline that will mesh with the others' beautifully.

Cheers!

@Than: good luck, mon ami, though the time to get to know you was brief. :)
