Well you have about 1/2 a year to run :D
Also "they've" (developers)said that a K56 modem should actually be sufficient to run MP'ing with about 8 players - so I'd also think you could participate with such a modem :)

But by all means - run out and buy a good 1 Mbit line (up and down) and host some games for us :D :D

Happy Sunday!

Now that last night's drinking binge is cleared out of the system, I can get back to work. :)

With my DSL here I should be able to host some games. But, i am behind a firewall, so i am not sure if it will work or not. Once the game is out, I'm sure I can "make" it work. :D

Hey - it's monday :D :D (1 a.m.)
I've read that a firewall shouldn't be a problem - but we'll need to see when the game comes out :)

I don't think it'll be a problem, but you never know. I've never tried it with Baldur's at all.

I guess it would already be Monday there already, huh??? I almost wish it was monday here already cuz I have my salary review tomorrow!!! Time for more video game $$$ for me!!!

Ok, back again. Here's my character:

Magus
Alignment: Neutral Good
Race: Half-elf
Class: Conjurer
Stats: Unknown (high intelligence, wisdom, charisma if possible)
Deity: actively worships none, but favors Mystra (Mages generally aren't inclined to worship IMO)

On second thought, leadership sounds like a lot of work :) I think I'll work my way up through the ranks regularly if the impulse to lead strikes me :)
Lost Souls: A bereft lover. A masterless familiar. Friends gone their separate ways. Time marches on, and destiny heralds the meeting of comrades old and new. Can they find what they're seeking? Or will the search bring them only more pain?

I've updated the website with a couple of more entries and changed all the capital-letter pictures. They aren't still that great, but they are better than before :D

Wow!!!!! I leave for 4 days of camping and this thread exploded! I'm excited at the attention BotB is getting. Way to go, all! I'd love to join.

I'll submit an unorthodox paladin to join the fray. X., you should get the sumbission any time now. While I'd love to continue playing a heartless killer with ethics, I don't want to be type cast for the rest of my GB career, so I'll play something a bit different.

How about a Holy Cleric Rail? That goes against ruthless killing and we need a full cleric for healing etc.

LOL! :D While I did say I thought I'd give myself a change of character, a complete 180 degree turn is a bit much for me. Give me time. Besides, I wrote too much of a bio on Mattias to turn back now. I ought to post it here, since it didn't all fit on the Biography part of the character screen. *hint, hint, Xandax* :D ;) :D

Well so far there are only Human, elf, half-elf, half-orc, halfling, dwarf and gnomes as races. They might throw in more but I don't know anything for sure.

Xandax just put me on the website. (I feel so official!) :D

Mattias Il-Amin
Human Paladin (LG)
Strength: 13
Dexterity: 16
Constitution: 9
Intelligence: 9
Wisdom: 10
Charisma: 14

**warning** For those who don't want the long-winded bio, plz skip to the bottom.

Matti was born in Luskan by a mother from the city and a father from Calimport. His father showed very little interest in the boy and left at the age of 8. His mother let him roam and took out much of her failed marriage on the young boy, who soon turned to his friends on the streets. He saw home less and less, much to the satisfaction of his apathetic mother. He began to run with one of the local gangs, causing trouble, starting fights, and engaging in petty robbery. He would have gone completely down the wrong path if it were not for a traveling cleric of Lathander, who met the lad while visiting the local prison and labor camp. His repeated visits to the boy, who was in jail and laboring for several weeks for crimes brashly committed, eventually turned the young man's heart and he decided to change the course his life was taking. However, he was certainly not cut out for the clergy, so he decided upon entering the order of paladins. His training was not pretty. He was far from the perfect student and he clashed harshly with most of his classmates, who followed Torm and Try. Twice, he was cited for conduct unbecoming a paladin. Once, for using a local alchemist's sneezing powder during a sparring match. The other involved a practical joke on a superior officer, something about dewberry syrup and a suit of armor. Both times he talked his way out of it, mostly because the priests of Lathander felt it was motivated by youthful exuberance, something they felt was to be valued, though they hoped he would soon learn to express it more conservatively. These things made him rather unpopular with the stodgy Tyr and Tormites, but he took it all in stride and graduated (barely), mostly through sheer determination and personality. Far from your average paladin, he is good natured, joking, and far more tolerant than others among the orders, and always seems on the edge of getting in trouble. He never waivers in his faith and optimism, and never seems to preach, opting to lead by example alone. He is often reckless and impulsive, though he seems to emerge all the better, prompting companions to wonder if he secretly pays homage to Tymora as well. While many doubt if he will last as a paladin, Matti doesn't seem to mind. He stays his course, secure in his faith, having fun and doing good, never seeming to mind that he has few friends among other paladins. He is a conflict of values among those of his class. Somehow, Matti gets by.

**end long-winded bio.
