I also took it twice, and changed some answers here I was hesitant about which alternative to choose. Still, according to the test I'm neutral good. I suppose it's apt, since I have mostly played ranger.

I tried the same thing. Some question must have more bearing on the results than others.

I have no experience at all of PnP RPG, I've only played CRPG, so I used a combination of my playing style and my personal views. I find it quite difficult to play totally in total contradiction of my real life views and attitudes. Comes with experience, I guess.

I started an evil party in BG2, but after killing the fleeing shadow thief (Erbarl or something) I abandoned the game

I am the same way. Never played any PnP. I have learned more about PnP in the last 6 months than I ever knew. I answered the question from my view of what I would do in the game.

@Weasel: Oh, I thought I was the only user here with no PnP experience. I have some friends who have been playing a lot, and last time one of them told me about a campaign, I fell asleep I think I'm too impatient for PnP

@C Elegans LMAO I know what you mean.(The starting place in BG2 is like PnP IMO ) A lot of people here know a lot about it, Drakron,Flagg,Waverly ect ect.. and I'm good at reading and learning. NWN is suppose to be the best of BG2 and PnP (I believe from what I have read).

@Weasel: I very much look forward to NWN too. From what I've heard about the postponing of the release, there is plenty of time for me to learn more about PnP.
I could of course ask my husband, but then he will never stop and I will fall asleep and that will hurt his feelings so I'd better learn from the people here

Odd, I just took the alignment test again after reading your posts, and it came out Lawful Good. I thought I had answered prety much the same as last time when it came out True Neutral. Hmmmm.

PnP D&D was something I played around with about 20 years ago, but never got very far. CRPG has always been much more appealing.

I'm sort of in the animal kingdom...

That's what I meant. Certain questions must have more bearing on the alignment than others.

From my POV, good ,neutral, evil don't matter as much as the Lawful, True ,ect ,ect part.

Well, I'm probably miss-using the test anyway. I'm trying to answer the questions to find MY alignment rather than my character's alignment. Many of the questions have no real-life correlate. But, yeah, I agree with you: Lawful, Neutral, or Chaotic probably has the most impact on the life in the real world since Good and Evil can be so subjective.

@Weasel: I must admit I don't know more about the meaning of alignment than the brief explanations in the BG manuals

I'm sure the items (questions) in the test are differently weighted. Most self assessment inventories works that way.

@Gwalchmai: It's a very nice name, and also the one I've been most curious about. It's also nice with a broad age span here Homogenous groups tend to be boring

I have to admit, I'm relieved to see that at least some people in this forum are as old as I am, if not older (I'm 32). Before I started posting here, I was worried that maybe I was suffering from some kind of developmental problem, and I figured that I should really start trying to "grow up."
