Just stopped in to say that rather then driving to Minnesota today, we're taking a night-flight (which is six hours shorter) tonight. I'll have my laptop internet connection, so you probably wont miss me too much...

Georgi's gone... :(

Yeah, she's off on her way to the United Arab Emirates as we speak, where she transfers to a flight to Perth.

No Beldin and Eerhardt this week, either...It's going to be a slow week... :(

On the plus side (for me and Tammy, at least), we'll be meeting her in person pretty soon. :)

It's already too quiet without her I thinks. On top of that, she's going to miss my 1000th post. :( Ah, well.... I'm sure she'll drop in soon enough. She loves us too much to stay completely away for an entire year, despite the company of you and Tammy. :)

Good morning Ode and AC? I assume all goes well. :)

I certainly hope that Georgi goes to internet cafes just to keep us updated and to say hi. Ive only been here for 3 weeks and yet I still feel I will miss her. I guess that demonstrates how strong and good her personality is.

@AC Are you happier by taking a plane? And are the kids going?

Hey Ty. Chances are I'll post updates as things happen.
LOL, that's the first time I've heard Georgeous described as 'good' :D

The place won't be quite the same without her though.

Ill try and stop by as much as I have, but I know I cannot replace the void. I think Eery will be coming back soon, and Kam will be back on Monday, so this place, might not be as quiet as you think, though without Georgi and Beldin for a while, its going to be a different place.

@Ode Regardless....I dont know how I could have missed it, but I saw some of your pictures in the post your pictures thread. (Namely the samurai sword) And WOW! Youve got long hair, right? I havent got a haircut in 6 months but its all growing up and not down, so it looks like an afro. :D Also, regarding the picture, do you collect swords? One of my friends is a collector of swords and he always goes to conventions and things like that.

Yep, I'm a long-haired layabout. :D I've been growing it for around 3 years now, but until about 9 months after I started growing it it went into an afro too. It was sort of cool, it reached out to my shoulders at one point, but it's much better when it can be tied back and kept off your face. Nonetheless, the afro has novelty value, enjoy the relative fame while it lasts ;) .
It suits me well, I like having long hair (it gives me the classic student look), even if it was a long time growing. And I'm getting split ends, having not had it cut since midway through 1999. I haven't had a haircut this whole millenium. :D
Eerhardt will be back next week, I'm fairly certain. Beldin will be about three weeks on holidays.
I sort of collect swords, but it's not really a serious thing. I just inherited a set of my grandpa's old ornamental swords when I was younger, and the collection's been growing since. I've got about 12 or so various daggers and swords at the moment, probably the best one is a 2-edged stainless steel dagger, about a foot long.
What I'm really after is a pair of sai.

The thing is, that I dont really care about my hair growing long. Thats not my goal. I have even been contemplating getting a crew cut, but decided negatively about it. Im just a bit lazy so I havent really wanted to go to the barber shop.
You know, the school I went to had over 1200 students (probably more-I just dont remember high numbers like that) and not one guy had long hair. The longest a guys hair got at my school was down to the bottom of their neck. A girl I liked once said that she likes guys with long hair-that got me thinking....hmmmmm, interesting. But I decided not to grow it out just for a girl to like me. Maybe shed like you, shes the same age as you and shes single! Only problem: We are literally on the other side of the world (12 hours apart-I know its about 10:30 pm at Perth).

Pretty cool about the swords-but I dont know, specifically, what types of swords my friend has. Im not much of a collector.

I'd say grow it if you feel like it. You can always chop it off again. I mostly grew it as a test of patience and to see what I'd look like with a ponytail. Since then I've decided I like the look, and am keeping it until I feel like a change. IMO long hair is cool. My school had about 600-800 people in it (Yeah, I'm a private school kid, so sue me :p ), I was one of about 6-10 guys with long hair, but the only one in my year.
ROFL! Female, single, about the same age and likes long hair. Not exactly into specifics there, and there is the small matter of living on opposite ends of the world... ;)
Somehow I get the feeling that might not work... :D

As far as swords go, the only proper swords I have are the ninja-to in the photo, a katana witha wobbly blade, and a broken cavalry saber which is incredibly blade-heavy.

What? You dont think it would work out? Too bad. She is so smart, its scarry. Shes going to Cornell, which is a high ranking college here in the states, so I dunno whether that helps at all. ;) :D

All the more of a pity, I often get bored with people who aren't smart (I know, that's a terrible thing to say etc etc., but it's not like I made a choice to be born that way), but there's still the small problem of living on opposite sides of the globe and never having met etc., not to mention the fact that around 18 and having long hair describes millions of guys around the world. :D
Guess my loss is someone else's gain, though you're more than welcome to print off my photo and give it to her if you can be bothered. :D

Im sure once she sees it, shell go blindly rushing down to Perth looking for a person with long hair, whos profile has been blurred in a picture where he is holding up a Japanese sword. :D

You dont like to talk to unintelligent people, eh? Then why are you talking to me? :D ;)

Well, they do say spontaneity is always a good trait in a person... :D There probably aren't that many people like that in Perth, maybe I'd better start cleaning my railway carriage just in case... ;)

Sorry, what was that? My attention span had wandered off... ;) :D

ROFLMAO :D

If I truly just randomly gave her a picture of you, and told her that she had to go to Perth to find you, Im sure she will give me the strangest looks for the next few years. But then again, you never know...

Maybe we could arrange it so she never found me, that would make it a sort of tragedy... :D
