Hope you had a good trip AC. Y'know, hope you didn't get airsick :p

I liked IWD, but it was severely cursed, I only managed to finish it one time, after trying forever only to get to the same point and have my system crash everytime. And it wasn't even crashes related to the game  :D

@BS Youre into hair bands, right? Well what do you think of the return of Def Leopard? Have you heard the new CD?

My sister bought it, all I can say is I am glad it was her money flushed down the toilet :D The whole CD was a dissapointment to me. I have almost decided to never buy another CD by any old rock band except for AC/DC, they never dissapoint

I heard the expansion was near impossible. One of my best friends was a huge fan of Icewind Dale, but was frustrated with the expansion and I dont think he ever beat it. I just decided to never get the expansion. I have been contemplating getting IWD II because of Baldurs Gate's retirement. Man, Im going to miss that series... :(

I wouldnt know because I havent really heard anything from it. Too bad that it is no good. :( Do you think they should have just stopped while they were ahead?

Icewind is a game for powergamers. (Me and Fable had a discussion about this some time ago.) I like the roleplay concept where there are charactor dialoques, a gripping plotline and spells that can really catch your eyes. That's why I liked the BG saga.

Icewind, however, is more technically advanced for me because I can do a full install without using up my entre harddrive. After I played Icewind once (I've never gotten past the Temple of the Forgotten God) then I played BG2 and was really surprised when the charactors on the main explore screen were just so dang tiny! :D

I think they are just trying to follow the latest trends anymore. Def Leppard was one of the original NWOBHM, and they had a sound all their own with Hysteria. I prefered Pyromania, but their music used to rock. Their lates CD is just a bunch of slow ballad type stuff, and done in such a way as to try and sound like every other band out there. They can still kick, I saw them a couple years ago, and they haven't lost it, just they need to be themselves. :D

EDIT

AC, retract that spammer thing, no reason to get insulting. :p :D

I liked IWD, but your right about the role playing element missing. But the game itself is beautiful. It just looks good. I will buy IWD 2, but I am still witing on the next BG series. :D

@BS well you have to remember thats its been a while since they released a CD. So I dont know if they remember how they can be themselves. Its kind of funny. If you look at the charts right now, you could see a recent Def Leopard hit, a recent Bruce Springstein hit, a recent Depeche Mode hit, and, believe it or not, an Elvis hit (remixed and done well according to the bilboard). It seems everybody wants a comeback.

I will probably wait for IWD II to come out and hear what people have to say before I go out and buy it. So you guys are going to have to keep me updated. Ive heard Lionhart (Also done by Black Isle) is coming out soon, but there are a lot of negative rumors about that game.

I've heard that Elvis one. Like it a lot, actually. It's on a single, and pretty damn good considering who's the original vocals. :D

Bioware/Black Isle hasn't been doing so hot with thier games lately. BG2 was just so damn good, and now people are expecting them to succeed thier former games by coming up with something bigger and better. That's what you get for not saving the best for last, right? :)

I like the Elvis song, too. Not the greatest, but I can listen to it without cringing. Im really surprised :D

Speaking of Black Isle, I have a PS2 and my brother bought the Baldurs Gate game for us both for Christmas. We played 2player and it was loads of fun for a while. The critics liked it too, and the graphics were simply beautiful. The problem was: The game ended too abruptly. However they did leave the ending open ended if they want to make a sequel to the game. I would buy it, though I am more of a PC gamer, I like PS2 aswell.

I could never get a console game, so I don't know how that BG game goes. PS2 was just way to far out of my pricerange, and I have no desire to get one, either.

Sega was a console I was compatable with, but I had to sell mine a long time ago. :( Very sad.

But as I said, I have an Icewind team of sox perfectly balanced Nuetral female warriors who are ready to kick the butt of a villian who won't be found for another 80-100 hours of playing.

PS2 is out of my price range too, but I have 2 very kind parents that I am very thankful for. :)

You had to sell SEGA?! :( Im sorry. That console was classic.

Aww. Poor BS. **hugs** :)

My Sega and I were best friends. I'd sit down and play on it for hours... I remember when I had Sonic the Hedghog 2 and Mortal Combat (the original). Those were the only games I had at the time, but I never grew bored. :)
Happy memories! :D

(Played Zelda once. It was sorta too easy for me, and it just wasn't that gotta-play-it-again! kinda thing for me.)

I still play sonic 2 with my older brother. I have so much fun beating him in 2 player competition. I like MK too, but it got old after a while. And I never played Zelda. After I got SEGA Genesis, I made the biggest mistake in console buying. I bought SEGA Saturn. Oi. That was bad.

Thanks AC....I miss kicking Shredders tail :D

I never played MK much, not after a friend of mine humiliated me. He played that game at least 6 hours a day. It was horrible, till I busted him down in Madden like 56-0.

Sounds like what I do to my friends when we play Tekken then play first person shooters. I played against 7 different players for 5 hours once, and I had but 2 losses in Tekken. Then we play first person shooters and I get schooled.

Im getting angry at the radio station. Its the night they play 4 hours of 80's music, and they keep playing Frankie Goes to Hollywood with their hit "Relax"

just 2 losses huh?

That reminds me (my mind wanders) of why I quit playing in the arcades. I would be playing one of those games, be right at the top and about to kick some serious butt, and some 8 year old would drop a coin and kill me. It was very embarrassing explaining to security why I had just piledrived an 8 year old through the counter :D

I know what you mean at the arcades. If I wasnt at a Tekken 2, 3, or Tekken Tag game I would get my butt kicked at any given arcade. At the Tekken games, I tended to be a stronger force. Many challengers, only a few winners, though, the arcades were much more of a challenge then my friends and my brother.
