I used to play this sonata at concerts as a teenager. So unfortunately, I can't stand it. :( I hated to play concerts. I only did it because my piano teacher demanded it. So I quit, sold my piano, got a guitar and started playing noisy rock music :D
It took me years to enjoy Chopin's Nocturnes again :(

@CE I'm sorry to hear that :( I rarely played piano in concerts (though I had to play tenor horn a lot in concerts, I was in a brass band), but I don't like it either ;)

@Georgi: Like you, I started to play at a very young age, and a music teacher who puts kids under pressure to perform in concerts can easily ruin the fun of playing any musical instrument...I've haven't been anywhere near a piano since I was 16 :) But sometimes I consider to take upp jazz, it's so totally different so it be something completely else :) Do you still play?

@CE yep, I still play :) I got fed up of taking lots of exams though (when I was about 16, I think), so I stopped (oh, the joy of not having to know every scale there is to know!) and just play for pleasure now. :) I still play some classical, I play a lot of piano-vocal stuff as well. I really wish I could do jazz improvisation, but I am useless without sheet music  I had considered taking up guitar though, so I had something portable I could take to uni with me.

Wow.. A spot of culture in SYM! Who would've thought :D ! My knowledge of classical music extends to Beethtovens fifth, and ride of the valkyre. Anything either then that, and I'm in the dark, so I pretend to hum along. :D

well-let's see?...Hmmmm...one song to sum up my entire being. Well that's a lot to ask of one song but i would say...TO LIVE IS TO DIE, by Metallica. I doubt many of you know it though...it is an instrumental(well it only has four lines in it) that to me, starts at a peaseful childhood and ends with the chaos of dying, with all the ups and downs of life in the middle. it is on the AND JUSTICE FOR ALL album. :D

My wife says-"It's just noise!"

Georgi, I would have thought an angel like yourself would be more acustomed to playing a harp. ;) :D They can be very nice if played right.
Cartoon Law III
Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

Believe me, having an instructer as mother is even worse. There's no escape from daily practice for whatever reasons... :( I also become terribly nervous to play in the concerts. The moment I look the hall full of people is the worst moment. :(

I played electric organ for 10 years and gave up, as I hated practice alone. I played the alto saxophone, and played in the band. That was a great fun, though tough. I got flat tummy without sit-ups. :D

aaaaaaaaaaaaah!
aaaaaaaaaaaaah!
aaaaaaaaaaaaah!
(Take your places)
aaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Can we fix it?
Yes we can!

(chorus)
Bob the builder
Can we fix it?
Bob the builder
Yes we can!

Scoop, Muck and Dizzy
and Rolly too.
Lofty and Wendy
join the crew.
Bob and the gang
have so much fun.
Working together,
they get the job done!

(chorus)x2

Time to get busy.
Such a lot to do.
Building and fixing
till it's good as new.
Bob and the gang
make a really good sound.
Working all day
till the sun goes down.

(chorus) x2

Can you fix it?
Right.
Left a bit.
Right a little.
Ok, straight down.

We can tackle any situation
Look out, here we come

Can we dig it? Yes
Can we build it? Yes
Can we fix it? Yes

(chorus) x2

Digging and mixing
Having so much fun
Working together
They get the job done

Can we dig it? Yes
Can we build it? Yes
Can we fix it? Yes

Bob the builder! Hey!!!
Bob the builder! Altogether now

Bob the builder
Can we fix it?
Bob the builder
Yes, yes we can!

Bob the builder
Can we fix it?
Bob the builder
oooooooh!!

(chorus)

We'd better get some work done!

An interesting fact for anyone interested, a group of my ancestors played harps in front of Queen Victoria. :)
