I was refering to Chapter 2 of the history with reference to the Guardians. They were supposed to be a secret until they retired. I guess after that they told old stories to their grand kids. Fits in very well with Saigo's idea. Plus it would be a fallen from grace concept. The guardians failed and now they attempt to atone for the deeds of their forefathers and their inability to stop the burning legion. Why they take the name Blades of the Banshee....well that is a good question.
So the question is how many from GB are gonna play WoW? I know I am along with 4 guys here in Switzerland. Maybe 5 total. So I was thinking since the Blades of the Banshee for Argyle is dead what about something like that for WoW?

The question of course would it be Alliance or Horde? Personally i am inclined to play Paladins. No wait I always play Paladins. Plus all my friends will be from the Alliance side. So i would prefer it to be an Allaince clan. So what do you guys say?
Sorry I got here late. Well I don't really join clans, but I like being a team player and being a supporter of somekind. I don't judge or get mad when my allies are newbies like 99.76592% of the online gamers. I just see it as a way to increase my skill by beating others with my newbie ally and think of it as I don't have enough skill if I lose. Plus I like helping others enjoy a game they just started playing. Well in anycase I am thinking of having a character on both alliance and horde. I was thinking of having a nightelf warrior... I'm sure there won't be too many of those you'll see. Mainly because (considering starting stats and what not) only an idiot would pick the nightelf race for a warrior... Well I think I'll call him Tallin.

Although I still may change my mind as to what races and classes I pick. I think I can only maintain up to two characters and a lot of these classes are very amazing.

Well you are gonna level up so you arent gonna be a N00b all day. Secondly i am not certain, are you saying you wont be part of Botb but will be on WoW? OR you saying that you will be part of Botb but will do alot of soloing?

Well I didn't say any of those. =P

Truth is, I haven't even decided if I'm going to be playing WoW. Also, all I said is that I don't normally join clans, but that I like teaming up with people.

This is actually the first clan that I ever thought of joining and the way I see it is that if you are in a clan you get to play with the same players more and get to know their tactics and such. You also get much closer to the people of the same clan as they are usually on the same team and spend alot more time with them than random people. Actually no matter if this clan becomes something or not I have no doubt that I'll be seing GB people in game from time to time :)

That is also very much the idea of clan/guild etc for casual players, because the social aspect of the MMORPGs is very important.
It is the same with DAoC, I truely miss some of the people I played with that doesn't play anymore, and there are still a few people in the game that are one of the main reasons I still occasionally turn back to the game.

Hmm first things first would we need WoW approval for our background story if we go with the Windrunner story line? Which shall we go for first? The Guardian Storyline or the Windrunner story line?

As I said I don't really remember the history of Aezeroth. I'll take some tima at the end of this day to look it up and tell you what I think....

I am probably going to play WoW although it is kind of dependant on some things. I probably won't be able to get my own account until December 2nd when I turn 18 because my parents don't like me playing video games a lot and wouldn't agree to pay for it. I'm probably going to play on my friend's account until I can buy it. I think a Botb guild would be cool. I don't really have any advice on the storyline background yet though. I'll probably read the Warcraft history and see if I can come up with any ideas.

I have started reading through all of that again and personally I think Gar's idea seems the one that fits our name. If anybody else has any ideas let us know. For now it seems there are only 5 people interested in WoW.

Yae, that's our main issue right now I think as you have to be 10 people in a guild inorder to create it. And also since WoW is going to be localized we kinda need 10 players from each continent (Europe/USA) for it to work. I would love to see that happening but I don't really have all that much hope for it as these aren't the most active forum by far on GB.

What is it that has been said? If you build it they will come or something like that? Well i say we build it. Lets start and afterwards we can recruit. I can think of 3 guys in geneva who can join us. I game with them.

Basically i have read through the history once again and i think we can't go with the guardian story line which was orginally proposed by me, because it is too far in the past plus it is nothing new or original. We are basically grabbing an nice part and adapting it to our needs.

I was thinking with the Silvannas story arch we could go with an abandoned lover who lost this elf. In his misery and desire to reclaim he tried to get the one he loved back and we build a story arch from there.

Basically stick to two of Saigo's orginal story lines. Hate the undead and hate the forsaken. Alliance or good group.

I know from DAoC that many guilds have been created in that game, by people not able to front the people themselves.
What worked there - and I would think would work anywhere - is simply asking strangers to help.
Unless there is a requierment that guilds needs to have X number of active people.
