Darkpoet stared into the fire, shaking his head. "Yea, you are right, who knows what is going to happen tomorrow." Dp set his swords on either side of him, just in case. As he closed his eyes, Dp listened to the crickets.
T’lainya closed her eyes and rested. She entered a state closer to the elven reverie than human sleep. Drifting along in her memories, thinking of family and friends. She thought of Evereska and her father’s house there. Images of the temple and the priests swirled around her consciousness. Then more recent memories came to her, Dp and the demon, the Dark Flames and those around them. She was aware of a pattern, laying like a shadow over all of them, a web that bound them together. T’lainya woke with a start. She sat up and looked around and saw the priest watching her. He nodded and went back into his tent. She sat there for a moment, shaken by what she had seen.

Darkpoet, turned over on his side. "Bad dream, T'lainya? The priest came out, right after you went to sleep. So, what did you see? It's not good, whatever you saw. You are shaking like a leaf."
Dp sat up and lowered his voice; "T'lainya what did you dream of?"
T’lainya took a deep breath and told Dp about her dream. “It was like our fates were twined. There was some malevolent presence behind all the trouble, but I couldn’t see clearly. I’m sorry if I disturbed your sleep.” She sat there for a while, her face pale, trying to force herself to sleep.

Jennabard reached a hand down to help Vivien to her feet, but as their hands met the mists came back to swallow them again.
“No!!!” the bard called into the mists as they were taken, her voice taking on an almost plaintive sound.
Vivien held tight onto her companion’s hand, hoping she wasn’t holding on too tight and hurting her. Too be swept away alone would be much worse.
Suddenly (as seems to happen to these two) the mists again parted and sunlight streamed down.
A new wind seemed to have swept the mists away, this one smelling slightly of sea and growing things. They stood on a grassy shore, abloom with multicolored flowers, before it changed to white sand to meet the rushing tides. Vivien took a tentative step forward into the grasses, feeling the heads of flowers gently caress her knees.
Jennabard was looking with some awe at their surroundings.
“This would be something to sing of.”
“What?” Viv asked before following her eyes.
She was looking at white pillars, which seemed to be a natural growth out of a white, smooth hill in the middle of the island.
“Welcome, sweet children, to the isle of women. We hoped it would not be too long before our dear one sent you to us.”
They turned to see a group of women standing before them, clad in shimmery light colored garments, which left nothing to the imagination. Vivien couldn’t but blush while trying to think of something to say. Luckily Jennabard was quicker to respond.
“Who are you? How did we get here?”
“Yes, and where did you get that cloth? Can a mage wear it?” Jennabard turned to give her a surprised look and Vivien blushed more before muttering ‘Just kidding.’
Brink was sleeping like a log somewhere near the campfire. He paid no attention to the activities around him; this was nothing compared to the wailing and screaming of restless spirits which could be heard from the center of the woods where he made himself home.

"You didn't disturb my sleep, I sleep light. I see this group targeted you, but not me, as a half Elf. Hmmmm, it must be the human ears." Darkpoet smiled in the darkness. "I'm surprised your cousin, didn't tell you. Him and I grew up together, either."
T’lainya turned to Darkpoet in surprise. She studied his features carefully then laughed. “You take after your human parent then.” She smiled at him, some things seemed clearer now, such as Menadirs ferocious defense of his friend in a tavern argument. T’lainyas lip twitched in a grin at the memory of the ensuing brawl. She felt better now, the oppressive dream forgotten for the moment.

"I'm glad, I have my fathers features. If I had my mothers, I would be afraid, that Gwally would hit on me." Darkpoet looked around. "I see that our archers have left, at least they must trust us."
“I think that they don’t trust us much, but they know we aren’t going anywhere. I’m trying to remember you. If you grew up with my cousin, I must have seen you…” T’lainyas eyes narrowed suspiciously. "You’re the one who helped that orc mannered cousin of mine put skunk cabbage in my saddlebags. I didn’t find it until I needed to ride out to visit someone two days later.” T'lainya stared at Dp for a moment and then jabbed him in the side with her elbow. "It took me a week to get the smell out."

Darkpoet grunted and tried not to laugh out loud, as T'lainya elbowed him. Snickering; "it was his idea. He said that, he was getting back at you for something you did to him. How was I suppose to know?"
“And why should that have involved you?” T’lainya frowned at Dp. He started to worry until he saw the laughter in her eyes. “Just because I smeared honey all over his shield and he got chased by a bear…” Her grin was eloquently wicked.

Darkpoet narrowed his eyes. "That was you? He loaned me the shield, I was the one chased by the bear. It almost killed me, I had to lay on my stomach for two months. And all this time, I thought, I did something wrong." Darkpoet layed back down and closed his eyes. "Did your Aunt say your cousin, killed the bear? Or did he tell you, that he killed it?"
“He told me it chased him and that he killed it.” T’lainya put a hand on Dps arm. “I’m sorry, I never dreamed he’d loan his shield to anyone.” She bit her lip a little. “I can’t believe he lied to me.”

"We both lied. I needed work on my stalking skills and he needed to work on archery. So we swapped places and with hooded cloaks, know one knew. Except the bear, but it's not talking. If your cousin hadn't found me, the elders would of found out. Don't blame yourself, I wouldn't have gotten hurt, if I hadn't tripped on a root." Darkpoet chuckled "It took you a week to get the smell out huh? Good."
Thantor began to scan the room, looking for tools that would be helpful in removing the hateful collar around his neck. When he found them, he handed them to Anicka and asked for her help. As she worked on the collar, Anicka asked, "So how did you come to be here?"
"My companions and I seemed to have perked the interest of the Shadow Lord. He set a trap to capture one of my colleagues," Thantor answered.
"Were you traveling with paladins?"
"In their own way, I would say. I was traveling with the Order of the Dark Flames."
Anicka nodded. "I have heard of them. They are making quite a name for themselves throughout Amn and beyond." Thinking of some of the stories Gwalchmai had told him, he wanted to ask her what kind of name exactly, but thought better of it.
A few minutes later, it fell to the floor with a clang. The release that flooded through him was so intense that he had to brace himself against the wall for a moment. "Finally," he murmured. He turned his full attention to Anicka and she was instantly aware of something different. She wasn't sure what it was though, but it made her uncomforable.
"Your raiment suggests that you belong to the Order of the Weeping Moon. Is this so?"
She looked at him intently. "Yes. You are aware of the order?"
"I am. How is Queen Amlaruil?"
"Fine," Anicka answered suspiciously. "You know the Queen then?"
With the collar removed, Thantor was much more confident that Anicka was genuine and truly who she said she was. "Yes, I know her personally."
"Funny, she never mentioned you," her hand slowly moving toward her sword.
"Maybe not by my human name," said Thantor, congenially.
"Oh, right. She probably had a pet name for you."
Thantor laughed. "I have never known the Queen to be that familiar. No, I meant she probably refer to me by my elven name: Chane Tarnruth."
Anicka's eyes flew open. Disbelief gave way to shock as she realized he was telling her the truth. Chane Tarnruth, consort of the Seven Sisters, emissary of the Elven Court, adjunct to the Queen herself -- here? Tarnruth's adventures during the Time of Troubles were legendary, and he was only one of two half-elves ever to be titled by the Court. Confused and embarrassed, she dropped down on one knee. "My lord..."
