I agree. I used to have godly equipment on the b.net because i traded. (That was before my account got deleted since I didn't log on for 3 months.) Now after playing on single player for some time, it is hard to find all your items.

I was wondering, is it possible to get the annihilus charm on single player, i f i can how would I do that?

It's not possible normally, but I think you can download certain mods witch enables the annihilus for single player if you would like to.

Also, without my equipment +stats how much should i aim for, for each catagory. And also what should i do with the spare points after i max out ww,shout,bo,mastery, and con?

@Barbarian: Your build will be finished at lvl 95, so no need to worry about where to put spare points. If you really plan to lvl over 95, you will have plenty of time to ponder this question then :D If you lvl to 99, you could put 1 point in Find Item for MF:ing (prerq 1 Find potion), 1 Iron skin and 1 Natural resists.

I suppose so. But I am just worried it might be a skill that you only need like one point on. How many skill/stat points can you get total?

Also any advice how to play my stat points exactly. I am not sure when I should stop putting points onto dex or strength.

And also should I put maybe one point into beserk or is it not worth it?

@Barbarian: You get 110 points in total if you reach lvl 99, which you will probably never do (I think I'll never lvl:ed higher than to 96, your need such ridiculous amounts of XP for the last few levels and it's not worth it considering how many thousand Baal-runs you have to do).

You get 12 points from quests (4 at each difficulty level) and 98 points if you reach lvl 99. It is however more realistic to imagine that you will not reach higher than about lvl 85-90, and at lvl 90 you will have 101 skill points.

My suggestion for distribution of skill- and statpoints is as follows:

Stats: Start with getting STR enough for using a decent armour, around 70 is fine in the beginning. Get your vita to around 60. Then you must decide what weapon you want to use, and if you are going to use a shield. If you plan to use a shield, you need DEX enough for max block, if you don't plan to use a shield you should not put any more in DEX than you need for using your weapon. Different weapons have different DEX requirements so you must decide what weapon you are going to use. In the end, you should probably have around 180 STR and 300 vita.

Skills: Take all the prerequisite skills for WW, Berserk and BO. Max your mastery first, but save some points so you can take WW and 1 point in Berserk when you are lvl 30. Then you can alter between WW and Conc. After you maxed both, max BO and put maybe 10 points in Shout. It may be better to have 10-15 points in Shout and put 1 point each in Iron Skin and Natural resists, than maxing Shout and maybe not have any points left for Iron Skin and Natural resists. Another useful 1-point wonder is Taunt.

My general advice is: focus on your main skills, Mastery, WW, Conc and BO and then see what items you get and how your personal playing style works with this build. When you have started Hell difficulty it will become more obvious what custumisation your char needs. And since single player will not gain you any Enigmas or BoTD:s, look closely at rare weapons, you want a lot of %ED (enhanced damaged) and IAS on a weapon. For armour, try to find set and uniques. Also, remember that a cheap runeword like Stone or Lionheart goes a long way in the beginning. The game is not designed so that you need Enigma, BoTD or the full IK set to beat it - on the contrary, any good player can finish the game totally untwinked. :)

I used to play d2 a lot before. I managed to get my sorc and druid to lvl 99 and my zon to lvl 97. After i took a break and all my characters got deleted on battle.net. (why i switched to single player, so my chars won't get deleted)

Thanks for the advice. But when you say 300 vita and 180 stength do you mean thats how much I should have without any + stat points from my items?

Also right now, I have 75% block, but I am sometimes having trouble hitting guys, should i continue to place some points on dex?

And also items that you can get on ladder does that mean you can also get on single player?

Yes, 300 vita/180 str is about what I've seem many people suggest without items. (I haven't played much barb at all since 1.09, so I am relying on other people for that information, but it sounds fine to me).

Do not increase your DEX in order to hit better, try to find some AR items instead.

Ladder items you cannot get single player, so the new ladder runewords are not available for you.

The anni I think you can get from Open Bnet, Diablo clone should spawn there I believe?

So right now you advise me to put maybe 3 points vita and 2 points strength for right now and then start placing some more points on dex once my chance of block is going down?

Yes, like that although I think you should wait with putting anything in dex until you have decided what shield you will use as endgame shield.

I am thinking about a stormshield, but any other really good shields for barb?

by C Elegans
Not really as far as I know, but I haven't played much barb in 1.10 so I might have overlooked something.

As I posted above, with Stormshield you need 222 dex at lvl 99 for max block, so don't go over this. Instead, keep it as low as you can for as long as possible, you may find items that increase your dex later on. Until you find a Stormshield, use a shield that does not require many points in dex for 75% block. Keep it at 130-150 to start with.

twitchthroe (58 D) or iceblink (171 D)?

Ïnstead of asking about each item you find, try to use a little logic and compare the mods of the two items. Let's see...

Requirements: The Iceblink requires 55 strength, while the Twitchthroe asks only 27. This is not a big deal however as 55 str isn't hard to get.
Defense: Iceblink clearly wins here. But if you don't aim for an insane amount of defense (meaning, maxed iron skin + maxed shout + concentrate + stone/duress sacred armor) defense really doesn't matter.

Other Mods

Twitchthroe:
25% increased chance of blocking - very useful if you use shield, because you can put more points in vitality early on without having to worry about your blocking chance when you have this armor.
20% FHR - FHR is always good for melee characters.
20% IAS - check a weapon speed calculator. If TT's 25% IAS lets you reach the next IAS breakpoint, definitely use it.
+10 Dex and Str - stat boosts are always good.

Iceblink:
Hit Freezes Target - very handy, but it's incredibily easy to get cold damage from other sources (runes, gems, charms most importantly). The duration is lowered in NM and Hell, but you have to be crazy to use this in NM anyway.
Cold Resist - resists are nice, but you can easily get cold resists from somewhere else. Resists don't matter that much in normal anyway.
1 MDR - useful in Act 1 normal. Useless everywhere else (MDR is only useful when you have lots of it)
+4 Light Radius - I'm not even going to write something about this.

Just do this with every new item you find: compare the defense or damage, the requirements, and most importantly the mods. In this example Twitchthroe clearly wins, because it's mods are far better for your character than Iceblink's mods.

This is my build.
1 point berserk
1 point battle command
1 point iron skin
1 point natural resist
1 point increased speed
1 point increased stamina
1 point leap (prereq)
1 point leap attack(prereq)
1 point bash (prereq)
1 point stun (prereq)
1 point howl (prereq)
20 points sword mastery
20 points whirlwind
20 points concentrate
20 points shout
20 points battle orders

All this equals 111 skill points. Where should i take off a skill point so i am at 110?

LOL :D you are really very meticulous, you don't need to decide exactly everything in beforehand, you can wait and see what equipment you will find and if you will ever reach lvl 99.

My advice though is to not max Shout. So, to answer your question, remove 1 from Shout.
