*sights and hits self in face* When will everyone learn???!!! You are not revan, you are just some pawn of the republic, that has just remembered that you were once, and only once revan. YOU DON'T HAVE L337 POWERS LIKE REVAN, YOU WERE REVAN. Do you understand? You only were revan. You cannever be as powerfull as revan once was, never. And futhermore, you should also know, that you aren't ever going to be the dark lord revan, every last living thing in the galexy knows that the jedi captured you, took your mind away, and forced you to be some one else. Therefore, you are not the dark lord of the sith, no matter how hard you try, AND you can never be able to be as powerful as revan was.
I decend from grace in arms of undertow...

woah.....breathe, zen, breath....
back on topic....even though i typically play ls, i love using force storm! i dont care what penalty there is, ima still use force storm. its the ultimate force power, and nothing comes close to it, except for the ls power stasis field (sp?), which is pretty handy, too. oh, i also like force confusion, until they turned on u
dude, one power i didnt like was battle meditaion....what the heck did that ever do in KOTOR II? absolutely nothing for me!!! did it help ne1? if so, can some1 please tell me how? i just cant seem to notice the diff between using it and not using it...
as for KOTOR II, im not sure what i wanna see in terms of force powers. *ponders*.....*ponders again*........ah! what if they had somethin like force tornado?! (sounds like somethin storm from x-men would use, lol) and, yeah, they definately need to add the ability to jump to-and-fro higher/lower buildings and jump of walls n stuff cause that would be freakin awesome! im done...

OK, befor I was just thinking that Jedi abilities were pretty useless in this game. I played it through again (LS, played Ds and beat it in 16 and a half hours or so, and I wanted something more challenging), and I was perfeclty happy with my abilities (Kreias force storm... heh heh heh, who needs new Jedi abilities).
And if you want to talk about Revan, then go and find another thread talking about Revan. I dont get peoples need to have revans powers in these games, even as Uber powerful as they were. I really dont think the game would be as interesting if you had all the saem abilities that he had from the beginning of the game with so little room to grow. Ì definitely agree with Darth Zemenij on this one.
Back on the subject on force powers we would like, what if there was a mass decpetion force power. Full force coming at you, use the abilties and then use stealth to escape? It add some depth, since the major mass powers we have so far are force wave and force storm. What if they add some immunity to those abilities in the next sequel? What if sith can easily shrug off such abilities like force storm?
Maybe selective force immunity too. Like I said before, what if sith could shrug off attacks like that. what if Jedi had energy resistance that built up against balsters when they became more in tune with the force? If you can pick just one thing that you became resistant to in the beginning of the game when you are making your character? wouldnt that be cool?

Force tornado? the effects sounds like its more from the matrix. Can we have the same clothes from the matrix too...
and couldnt you use battle med in the second one on onderon to effect the outcome of the battle? And force storm was the best, cause in KotOR II they kinda lowered its effectiveness and powers a little compared to the first one.

Light side is strong, statis is also good in KotOR 2, with my light consular the only one I couldn't statis was Treya; Sion, Nihilus, and everybody else I cast an effective statis on with ease.I wouldnt mind seeing some new moves, but what about some of these old ones. In the first KOTOR 2 stasis field was really powerfuk and all, and destroy droid did a lot of damage. Now either rarely diable and the the droid one barely damages.
I think it would be kind of nice of they made a couple of the other LS powers a *little* bit more powerful.
My destroy droid always worked, and always did decent dmg.
I finished it on difficult with my light consular with outmost ease, it was much, much, much too easy for my liking.
Didn't even need statis and all those other force powers, I could kill almost everything with only using speed (keep in mind that I was a consular ).
At the acadamy I almost only used speed to kill all those Sith, sometimes I used Confuse cause I was getting bored killing them so easily, so I sat back and watched them fight a little out of bordedom.

I'm too lazy to check the entire thread for this idea, but how about Force Absorb? This power was in Jedi Knight and Mysteries of the Sith; while active, your charater absorbs Force attacks and funnels that energy into your mana.

There's already force choke. Which I think does basically the same as force grip.
I'd like force jump to be more widely used in the game, as a selectable ability. It'd tempt me away from playing a Sentinel if it was. In fact it'd just be nice if the game had jumping and stuff as a movement option.
And count me in on thinking that the Lightside is equally as powerful as the dark. Buffs and defence impress me more than being able to spray lightning around.

I want light side force lightning or force unleash, where you can unleash all your dark thoughts and become pure and holy, and super powerful. Also, i want to see Force Reversal like the dagger of time in POP, where you can go back in time and stop yourself dying and in doing so get rid of quick saves, making the game a whole lot harder!

In the episode 3 book Mace Windu has the special ability to see Shatter Points or something to that effect. That ability would be really useful in dialog cause you could see how what you say could effect the person you are talking to.
And the cry went out across the galaxy "Execute Executive order 66" and just like that the Jedi order was decimated.
.
that would be a usefull power, so would the abilty to:
throw objects at people (using the force)
jump (outside combat)
manipulate your surroundings eg. dropping the ceiling on an enemy or creating a wall in front of you to block an enemy or make a whole in a wall to make a passaga through
freeze some one
add points to abilities for limited time to open doors, etc
save your self from death (rather than having to go back to a previous save)
pull an enemys weapon into your own hand
do stuff that looks cool, eg make your lightsaber float from your belt into your hand and any thing else that floats to you looks cool
wipe minds.

In the games you can flourish your weapon. In the final level of jedi academy the cultist levitate their deactivated saber above the palm of their hand and it spins around. Their should be a flourish button that allows you to do that.

Manipulating your surroundings would be sweet. Having the ability to rip pipes out of the wall and send them flying at who ever you're fighting would be a great addition (like Vader did in Empire Strikes Back). I also wouldn't mind seeing the ability to jump, but they'd have to do it in a way that didn't involve spending several long minutes trying to jump from one ledge to another (I really hate that).
Another good Force power would be the ability to get enemies to ignore you or to look in the other direction so you could run past them... I guess it would fall under mind trick, only it would be useful outside of conversation options.
As I was playing through the first Kotor again and fighting my way through the seemingly endless herds of kath hounds on Dantooine, I started thinking how nice it would be if I could get the stupid things to leave me alone so I didn't have to waste so much time butchering them. Then I remembered that in one of the books (or perhaps several of the books) the Jedi are able to get animals to leave them alone by making it so that the animals got the feeling that it would be dangerous to approach the Jedi.
It would be nice to have powers that let you avoid combat if you didn't feel like fighting (or were all the way leveled up and didn't see the point in it anymore).

There's already Beast Trick and Dominate Mind (or another power of a similar name) to do the things you just described in the game. I personally didn't use either of them very often, as I prefer Stasis or the stun effect of force push. That way I can still kill them, but at my own pace.
This is kind of the opposite to the thread title, but I would like Force Mastery to be left out of Kotor3. It makes most opponents two hit kills (I just finished the game earlier today for a second time and nearly everything in the Trayus Academy was taken out ridiculously easily, even the bosses), and I know I could just not use it... but I'm weak willed! And while it's nice to see my character finally being as whup-ass as everyone proclaims him to be, there comes a point when cleaning out a room of 3 dark jedi and a sith lord in under 30 seconds doesn't get you the same sense of accomplishment that it did in the past.

It would be nice to do what Traya did in the end of the second one. I wouldnt mind being able to have two lightsabers in my hands and another floating...attacking my enemies. Same with blasters.

It may sound sadistic, but its DS
Force Implode- make people turn inside out (only efective on certain peeps and only available near end of game)
Force MAnipulate objects-so that if tey do add the effect of when you hit somone with your saber and a body part falls off you can pick it up and beat them to death with their own limbs(honestly if i were obi-wan thats wat i would have done when i took off all of anakins limbs at mustafar)
Mind Control- take over enemies and have them fight each other
Force throw- when u throw your saber it cna be deflected but you actually control the saber ie. altitude direction so you cna aim for a certain body parts such as head or something where the sun dont shie if u get my meaning (then beating them with it of course)
you should also be able to tie random people up and leave them ina room to die...
but that would only work if kotor becomemroe like morrowind... and hey thatd b great... killind random people whenevr. HEY HEY HEY.. Im rick james... you know the rest and then massacre an entire city

Actually, I think it is perfectly appropriate for this thread, since it is supposed to be a discussion of force powers in a possible KoTOR 3. Note the word *possible*, since such a game has not even been announced yet.
