Here's what i think should happen the KOTOR3 game. You should start out on some sith world in the unknown regions,in a prison(light side), or as a sith lord(dark side) as Revan.Light side- you have to break out of the prison and find a ship to fly you out to a world with the jedi(as the jedi have regrouped since KOTOR2).Dark side- you tell your army that you are leaving to the core worlds alone. You go to a planet with jedi.In there temple you should kill a few jedi.Both- then you go to the council chambers to either warn them(light side), or threten them(dark side).
Then the story shifts to the true main character, a young apprintice. You now permanantly take on this role. You start out with some training at first. Some things will happen(not realy sure ). Then you start out again as the same character, but your older. Then you get sent on a quest with your master to find revan, and either kill him or bring him back.
PS:There should be a way to choose a tottaly costamized voice talk for your character.

Oh, I agree. One of the most annoying things about RPGs is that the main character rarely (if ever) gets a voice.
P.S. I really like your idea, except for the 'kill Revan' part... :speech:

You should do so well as to be sucked into the engine of some evil Sith Lord, you know.

I've thought about this for some time. A KotOR 3. But I don't know how it'll work... Don't get me wrong I love the game, I just don't think the creators of KotOR left many options at the end of the game to make a 3rd.
I mean, how would you make it? What would be the plot...? The Jedi are all dead now, Revan still hasn't been found and the galaxy is in a mess. I would love to see a KotOR 3 I just can't seem to think of a way they could make another game that would run along with KotOR 1 and 2.

You've made good points there, but also remember that the exile is somewhere. So, maybe the exile knows where Revan is. Also, why do you want to play as Revan, he/she had an entire to him/herself, so he/she doesn't need another game. Also, why do you want to be an apprentice, what made Revan and exile good was that they didn't really follow the jedi order, after all Revan fell in love with Bastilla, and exile left the force entirely. How about you start as a fallen jedi, who both the sith and jedi want dead, and you have to discover why, and you can only get allaince's with Czerka or the Republic, as the Jedi will kill you and so will the sith. Also, obviously Czerka=DS, Republic=LS. i do think Revan and exile should be back, but they should be unable to be seen of face. i think, the twist could be that you are destined to be a really powerful jedi's ancestor or something no matter what, like you are Anakin's great X 20 odd grandfather/mother, mothers side of course, as he had no father. OR you go into the future and turn out the be either Anakin's Father, or his grandmother, either way, link it to the original trilogy, give it a bit of completion, and at the end you have to kill both Revan and the exile!
Skandaman, back from the dead, and now kicking butt again. Fear him for he's angry and fillled with sugar. Mmm sugar.

Production on KOTOR 3 was stopped April 12, 2004
[QUOTE=All]
SPOILER!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sadly the making of KOTOR 3 was stopped on April 14, 2004 due to lucas arts under going major construction and them firing the manager and hiring a new one who fired 31 staff members so production on KOTOR 3 has been stopped and KOTOR 3 may not be made. I am sry about ruining your ideas. But the manager is thinking he might repick up creation on the KOTOR 3 game sometime in 2006. But the possabilities are very low due to the many games of Star Wars they started to create. I know you are angry about this news. I am too I really hate the new manager at this moment. If production of KOTOR 3 does not get continued I will be very angry and when I make enough money I will submit my thoughts to lucas arts about finishing the KOTOR series. I would put all my into the making of the KOTOR 3 game up until Lucas arts actually ends the series with a real ending that connects the KOTOR games to the movies.

My Opinion On Kotor 3: The Knights Alliance( Meaning Alliance Of Revan & The Exile)
i agree with the one choice that you should play as both revan & the exile on the outer rim, and have all of your companions from kotor 1 & 2 to join you, although 2 of your normal 3 slots will be filled with revan & the exile leaving you with only choosing 1 companion, will be changed so that you can have 5 people ex: revan, exile, madalore, carth, & bastilla that is 5, revan & exile will always be in your party, & considering you have 5 people the battles & enemies will be alot harder making it much more challenging, & you should get to start off exactly where you left off on kotor 2, meaning you should be able to lvl your guy up to lvl 50 right away & choose all your feats, powers, attributes etc. & also just choose which allignment light or dark, to give you your dialog choices, but dont think that 50 lvls right off the bat ruins it, because hopefully they will also allow another 50 lvls of lvling to go making your people stop at lvl 100, & they should add alot more feats, & powers. ass for weapons you will get to start out with a lightsaber for all your jedi, guns for people like mandalore as well as some melee weapons. You will also start out with 3000 components so u can upgrade your weapons to something that does decent damage to get you started.

my theory
in kotor 3 i think youshould start out as a jedi in training somewhere cos we all no tht evn if u chose the dark side path in kotor 2 the jedi still come bk
(cos of hte movies) so it cld b a few yrs at the start of the new jedi order, or many yrs later wen the jedi order is restored to its rightful place. anyways you cld start out at an academy were u build ur lightsaber and start learning about the force etc, this plot also makes it enjoyable to play more thn once cos i found it annoying having to play so long without a lightsaber. after not long you become a jedi knight cos of something u did like u saved one of the jedi masters from being killed, sounds stupid but sumthing heroic, u them are allowed to leave the planet u r being trained from and thus begin to choose ur path either dark or light. personally i think they shld have new planets to go to but must keep korriban so u cld go there and learn about the dark side if u want. but i think the first planet u travel to it shld b alone and on tht u mean some of ur party members probably 2 so u at least hav a full party and u also get a proper ship NOT the ebon hawk again cos its gotten kinda boring useing it over 2 games. i think tht throught it u shld sumhow learn about revan on the first world or at the jedi enclave and make learning about him your primary plot hopefully near the end shld take u to were revan went where u find out what defnitly happened to him sumhow decided by ur allignment not sure how but it cld work with more thought being put into it. anyways as u find out in kotor 2 (as a lightsider at least) reven went to find the tru sith empire or sumthing this emans by finding out about revan u also find out about the tru sit empire.
Well thts my theory as to what shld happen sum parts wld b hard to work into a choices game but hey it cld work.

Kotor Iii
I Have An Idea I think that the story should take place at least 10 years afters the second kotor and the main character is a exiled jedi that was exiled from the jedi counsulon a unknown planet and during his quest he confronts a sithlord with the power to destory the galaxy then he finds the unknown planet and tries to warn the counsul about a new sithlord called darth valm, but the counsul does not believe him so he must search the galaxy for carth onasi and basitila he must ask carth and basitila where Revan is because He is the only with the knowlage where ulic qel-dromas holocorn is hes finds out that the holocorn has the knowlage of ulic qel-dromas abilities to resist the darkside power that darth valms is planning to destroy the galaxy with.

Wen you start your a Jedi none of that loseing your jedi powers crap!Your on Dantione and your training your aprentince....Suddenly A huge ship hovers over Dantione and the sith are jumping out and attacking Dantione is under attack and you have to escape!
Light side ending:Your Charecter is at a jedi temple at Yavin IV after you kill the last boss Yavin IV is under attack your party races to the Ebon hawlk and you get in you escape Yavin IV just before it blows up and now you know are on a misshon to find your brother the real Reven.
Dark side end:You join forces with the sith leader and kill Carth and Zalabar then escape to the peice of Tarris were you will not only want to kill the real Reven but to make another sith planet useing the peice of Tarris:speech:

My Idea!
The Yavin 4 thing sounds interesting but i think its unrealistic as the game would probaly be in the true sith empire. Also Yavin 4 is in Jedi Knight 3 so you would have to tie it in to it or at very least avoid some odd questions. My idea for KotOR3 is kinda based on what Kreia says in KotOR 2. The Exile is the death of the force, Revan is the master of the force and also knows he has to make sacrifices to save the Republic, so maybe Revan would sacrifice his power by using the exile to kill the force thus destroying the true sith empire who probaly use the dark side of the force (though i would like to point out we dont know ANYTHING about the true sith other than they left Korriban when the dark Jedi came and that Revan see's them as a threat to the Republic) but Revan could keep a small seed of the force causing a select few, the ones Kreia call the new jedi (The Exiles companions), to be able to use it and leaving the force to grow slowly in time for the trilogy. The force would stay in very powerful force places like Korriban causing the Sith to eventualy return, the same with the Jedi. This would also cause the Old Republic to slowly fall.
Although this theory causes more questions than it answers it would tie everything major (True Sith, Jedi, Sith, Republic ect.) into one major answer and sum up the exile and revans stories. How the game would build up to this another question but i think this is a good ending. Please comment on the idea as i value fan views being one myself and im also wanting to write books so i kinda use others unfinished stories as practise for my own ideas.

My prediction is they will bring in another amnesia ridden/exiled kid and make another different random story within a decade of the last two games, somewhat forgetting the story to the last two games except when the mention the past wars 3-4 times in the game((sigh)). I really HOPE that we have VERY close ties to revan in the game as in he's not in our party but he's always near by (planet next to us, Ship overhead or nextto us), maybe in our party at two or three different points.
Here's my bold prediction: JEDI WOOKIES! that would rock, a curve ball out of left field.

Read Carefully
Well perhaps its time for my suggestions?
I wish of course the mundane add-on's such as graphics sound quality, engine etc... But one suggestion was eluded until now... how about you mix..
Game engine of fable with Jedi knight 2 and cross it with an template that is KOTOR 2.. --
WITH the minor detailed added in. I impose the question, does it go beyond the goal of the game? WHAT if-- rules, doesn't it? Well how about we fix that with a function I saw in a PS1- PS2 game. Like the mandalorians in KOTOR 2, we align ourselves with people and according our alignment and ' people ' points, we can exclusively have an added dialogue sequences. Allow me to explain,
What if the storly line was converging? What if the threat of the Sith is finally coming into a realization? Not only did the sith win in the outer rims, but they hid, and strengthened. What IF, They attacked the lands of tatooie? Thats right, open field combat, Not 1 or 2 or even 3 but 50 displayed characters fighting alongside you against another 50? What IF, you DO have an space armada vs space armada battle? What IF depending on how many people you aligned with and added to your diplomatic ties, turned the tide of war? or even better, for every new recruit to your battalion or apprentice you add.. swayed an even GREATER effect on your Jedi training grounds or base... What if these COULD be the side benefits? instead of a the normal storyline, it concluded in an epic manner?
Well... what do you think?

The big battles thing has been done with Battlefront, hasn't it? I'm not sure that they'd re-do that in to the KOTOR series. Especially with turn based combat, working that out for 50+ NPCs on the screen at one time would be a nightmare for any engine.
I'm not too keen on the huge battles idea. It could get very irritating - you rhcaracter always dying due to overwhelming opposition - or tedious - you can beat all the enemies, it just takes a long time.

Kind of agree here. If the game wanted to portray a large battle, they should be included in cutscenes instead (just hope that it doesn't look like someone recorded a scene in-game). Large battles fare much better on action-oriented games.bigredpanda wrote:The big battles thing has been done with Battlefront, hasn't it? I'm not sure that they'd re-do that in to the KOTOR series. I think big battles would be cool if you could command your troops, not just do the hacking and slashing, but using battle strategies and defeating them with your brains. LOL
YOU DONT KNOW THE POWER OF THE DRUNKSIDE ill beat you up with my bottl ...lightsaber!!!And Drunk Side is a bar in KOTOR1... check these out! http://www.xfire.com/screenshots/drunkside/
Wouldn't that make the game more of an RTS than an RPG?Drunkside wrote:I think big battles would be cool if you could command your troops, not just do the hacking and slashing, but using battle strategies and defeating them with your brains. LOL
