"I see....
So you're lookin for a bit of help from Papa sundown is it? Well...you gotta give a little to get a little. An' my price is a taste of you..." He says with a hint of menace and perversion.
"Upstairs is a room with a pair of snakes twisting around painted on the door. Meet me there in ten minutes; Alone!"
I'm visibly relieved by his words. Unless he has an unusual alternate definition of "taste", this'll be much easier than I had anticipated. It certainly won't be the first time I resort to a bit of prostitution.
As I make my way up the stairs to the room Sundown described, I ponder how the word "taste" ever became analogous for sexual activity. I mean, there might be tasting INVOLVED, but it wasn't the heart of the matter. Was Sundown planning something more sinister?
Assuming I reach the door without encountering anyone, I head inside and take a look around for any sign of danger (search: take 10, 10+2=12. If I'm allowed, then I take 20 instead.)

Gu'dan quickly turned his attention from the bartender to the odd female that appeared to change her appearance before his eyes. "Aye, thanks for your help" he muttered to the bartender.
"Excuse me? Hello? Excuse me? Errr, Lass? What do you know of the Midnight Owl?" Gu'dan questions quickly trying to chase down the woman who is now his only lead on this mysterious person.
What kind of wild goose chase did I get myself into to....

(Sorry Mist, I did miss that. DM, please ignore the final paragraph of my last post.)
"Allexa?" I frown, my bewilderment clear. "Weren't you less... pixie-esque ten minutes ago?"
(I presume we should continue this in the Player thread.)

"Oh, tough luck for you" Shile says rather un-emotionally, appearantly not able to relate with the Halfling situation.
"I hope you can get a promotion that doesn't involve death" She smiles and then gives a visible sigh.
"I wonder what I should do for the evening..." Shile says while gazing up and looking at the sky.

The halfling starts to say something then stops.
:

h whats the use. this bird is nuts::
"see ya Shile. If I were you I'd go somewhere else from sundown's like {digga digga tavern in rhodes}. See some live singing."
"Keep outa trouble"
With that Jeronis nods to the hulking half minotaur "hey Nordak" and enters sundowns with his box of platinum.

Allexa rubs her temples for a moment, sighing as Sinead follows the dwarf outside. She steps out into the street after them, and searches in the direction the bartender told her to. "He said the man's in a ruddy little shack down the street here."

"I've got to ask." Gu'dan muttered as they stepped outside, weary of the passerbys and the minotaur at the doorway.
"Do you not find it curious that random strangers are simultaneously looking for a mysterious man, none of whom seem to know why."
Gu'dan mulled over the thought to himself as he spoke it, it seemed even stranger than he had originally thought, what do these strangers have to do with Master G'fin'ki's request.
"Mi-lady, I noticed you rubbing your head, are you ok?

@Everyone.
Malinzaro comes back tonight or tomorrow, and since he's the minotaur and everyone is currently outside in the same general area, I'd like to request you guys wait to go back inside or do whatever just until Mal's back and caught up. This won't affect game times (such as appointments with sundown, going back to work, or what have you), but basically, just continue the conversation for as long as you want until he gets back.
Remember, at this point anyone can talk to anyone (except nordak, until Mal's back obviously).
Once Mal's caught up, we can get on with the game and you can either join up or go your separate ways according to what information you've been given to go on.
Thanks everyone, sorry for the inconvenience, I just don't wanna leave Mal's character completely in the dark.

@Nordak-
The night has been going quite slowly for you this evening, Sundown's has a moderate amount of customers but nothing like what it's truly capable of. However, this makes it easy for you, as you don't have too many people to deal with.
Occasionally you have seen some oddballs and ruffians you had to deal with, nothing major though. When push comes to shove, no commoner wants to mess with a nine foot tall horned half minotaur.
The oddest guest you've had though was approximately an hour or so before this large group came out and began discussing things in front of you, hell before they even arrived in fact. You let him in due to his calm, charismatic attitude but were worried his facial features...or lack thereof, would cause trouble.
This man had no face. There were no indentations as to where certain features of his face, like his eyes, mouth and nose should be. His entire facial area is a solid flat plane of skin almost like his face was meant to be that way.
The only thing you heard him say was "Shame to hear about Kitchy, eh?" You simply nodded, pretending to know what he was talking about. Sundown doesn't really keep you in the loop, not to be malicious, but rather he just doesn't care to keep a bouncer in the loop about who's alive and who's dead. It's irrelevant to your job. He waves as he walks in, signaling a half-assed thank you for letting him in the first place.
Now you have this large group of adventurers on the sidewalk. Most of them you recognize, but you do notice a couple of them who came out of the building, you did not let in. The pixie faced girl, and the pale loopy sounding girl.
@Everyone-
The game can continue as normal now, Mal's back.

After hearing the minotaur address the group, Jeronis nods and enters the bar heading for sundown to give up the platinum.

Shile turns around and walks down the street.
Bored to the core she looks for opportunities to make her evening more entretaining.

@Jeronis-
You head back in and hand over the platinum to Sundown. "Well done mate, you're a lil' more competent than I first thought! Perhaps there's room in the big boy's club for you yet," he says, tossing you three platinum.
"Now do me a favor and let the girl know she can bring her friend up with her if she wants, Papa Sundown can always use some extra treats!" he says a little too enthusiastically.
@Shile-
The streets are fairly empty tonight, the sky is cloudless and the roads are dry. However, before long in your wandering, you happen to come across, or rather three burly looking guys come across you.
"Hehehe, my my my what lil' pretty thing wandering the streets alone tonight. Don't you know there's dangerous peoples out here?"
They all have their daggers drawn, ready to lunge at you. Before you can react though, you hear a faint giggling from behind the thugs. The tapping from the footsteps only adds to the eeriness of the giggling.
"s'at you monty? Stop your laughing" one of the thugs says to another.
"Kitchy kitchy coo," the faint voice calls from behind.
Without warning, a rather large...thing steps out from the shadows and engulfs the ringleader of the thug, grappling him and biting open his scalp. As the big thug screams in panic and pain struggling against the humanoid grappling and eating him with eyes wide and bleeding, the other two frightened out of their minds run off in separate directions.

Shile tilts her head as the group of thugs approach her.
When the another voice speaks from behind the group, Shile tilts her head even more and a dark hand grabs the next one. Shile eyes widen and a smile forms in her lips as she straigthens her head.
"By Skia!"
She sais happily, although not enjoying the slaughter before her, She curiosity is increased by the shadow.
Shile quickly summons the shadows around her and casts "Steel of shadows" on herself to be on the safe side.
AC: 12+3=15 (not sure if I add the +3 for shield since Shile doesn't have a shield)
"You how are you?" Shile says kindly but with a bit of force behind her voice

@Shile
The faint voice whispers again, "He loves to eat little girls too."
The walking husk of diseased and rotted human flesh tosses the thug aside after finishing off most of his face and neck, and turns its attention towards you.
Roll initiative.
OOC- Yes, it conjures a shield for you. So you do get a shield bonus.

"Ho ho, what an interesting toy you have is it necromancy?"
Shile asks playfully
Initiative check: d20+1 = 12+1= 13
(If I go first take a five feet step backwards, and cast "Voice of shadows" on the zombie)
DC check = 12
(If I don't go first I attempt the same action after the Zombies turn)

OOC: I posted something in the character discussion thread but I do have the feeling no one noticed it, so I am reposting it here just in case.
Nordak spits in disgust feeling more and more uncomfortable with being a simple doorman. While the opportunity to meet new figures is certainly entertaining for a while, this can suddenly change with the repetition.
There are figures that are certainly memorable and Nordak thoughts go to the dwarf the he saw earlier. For some reason he suddenly had a feeling of thirst that only a barrel of ale could temper. Still, there are figures or lack of there is that are certainly more puzzling than anything else. How can someone have no mouth and still talk?! That is unheard of! And who the hell is Kitchy? Not that it matters anyway ...
Nordak thoughts continue to wander away while he was leaning against the wall. This job surely helps a lot with meditation, thankfully he doesn't have any use for it. He suddenly comes back to reality as the door almost slapped him over, while this colorful group was talking in the middle of the street. "I'll be damned, this tavern must have more holes than a Swiss cheese", whispers Nordak to himself while coming closer to them. Shaking his horns slightly amused he goes on,
Knock, knock! How many entrances this damn cottage has because surely you didn't used the one I know of? I would also ask you what are you searching for so desperately?

@Shile-
You go first. You cast the Voice of Shadows spell and it does not seem to affect the creature in the slightest. You surmise that it is immune to the spell.
It takes a move action to move up next to you.
Your turn.

(Presumably I had heard part of someone's conversation to know who sundown wants to bring upstairs)
Jeronis peers around thinking that he had seen the red haired human outdoors. He exits the bar going outside as he hears the minotaur speaking. Hearing that the group is looking for someone his ears perk up and he stands listening.
