@Buck...hmmm...I just replied to your PM but it seems to have disappeared from my out-box. If you have not received it, I will send it again...
The Internet's authoritative role-playing game forum.

Glad to hear it. Speed is the main reason that I wanted to move away from UBB. As time went on, UBB (which is CGI-based) was doomed to become slower and slower. You really can't beat the performance of a PHP/MySQL bulletin board like this.Originally posted by Aubrey
1) Speed: though I use a 56 kpbs, there had been times when it took me some time to download some pages, which seemed unrelated to whether it was BG1 or BG2 forum, or whatever. Now there is a really noticeable difference in the speed factor. I suppose it couldn't be better or get faster . Good work!
Agreed. If I can find a way to add a rating system to this new forum, I will. Unfortunately, it's not part of the script by default.Originally posted by Aubrey
2) Member rating: Ok, I hadn't made a rating system available for myself, but since I became member in the forums I have rated some other members. It's unfair for them they can't see their rating stars.
Not sure what you mean here. If you mean in the "Who's Online" feature, the list of names is refreshed every 60 seconds. I don't think it keeps track of how long each name has been online, that would probably be a performance hit.Originally posted by Aubrey
b) I'd like seeing who's here for a long long time and who's a newcomer.
Yep, another one of those things that doesn't come with the board by default. Again, if I can find a way to add it, I will.Originally posted by Aubrey
c) It was good to view the last active thread in each forum from the main forum screen.
If you want, you can email me the "confused" smilie you'd like to see and I can add it.Originally posted by Shadow Sandrock
In most of the UBB's I've been to, the "Confused" smiley was animated. But neither the old one or new one displays the cute little question marks on top of the head... just wondering why?
Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do to correct the way private messages were imported, so you may have lost part of them. Sorry about that =\.Originally posted by Yshania
Buck, I have PMd you, but there is an update. Where I have lost the sent part of all of my saved PMs, I have also lost some of the older received parts of some of my saved PMs.
In summary, the latest three received messages (in any one PM) are sitting in my in-box as separate PMs but under the same title as the original one PM, with the older received messages of that PM lost.
Are these missing parts (and the missing whole PMs) permanently lost?
Menu link? Is there a broken link somewhere?Originally posted by Quitch
Love the new board, but fix your menu link will ya
Currently, I have the "no new posts" icon using a dark grey/black "V" icon, and the "new posts" icon using a golden "V". I was changing icons last night, so it's possible this may be corrected since you asked for this.Originally posted by Quitch
Can we get something that isn't yellow for the "No new posts" icon please? It's far too similar to the "New posts" icon. How about that sort of black shade that is used on the main forum listing? I like that.
I have only received one from you, so if you sent another you'll have to resend it.Originally posted by Yshania

That is just an example. It still shows how long you've been here and how many numbers of posts you have, only on the left margin under the user-name. It's very convenient that way, but it just takes a little bit of time to get used to it.
