I've been stuck figuring what went wrong with this WIN 98 of mine for days, top of it I almost lost my entire data  But at least I've managed to make it online again :)

It could be corrupt DLL files.

I think so, also some probs on registry IIRC. Damn ! I think I better back up my data first and then format my HDD, reinstall everything and finally back it up with Norton Ghost on a CD. *KidD plays U2 "Beautiful Day" to keep him company while fixing his no good Win98*

Well, howz this for a day? I had to hand in a geography project that I'm sure to fail; after inviting 15 people to see a movie tomorrow after school, only 4 are coming; and I sprained my ankle during last period today, it really hurt, and I'm supposed to be skiing all next week.

No as bad as Aegis', but bad none the less. :(

That sounds delightful compared to my day today, though the trouble started in the middle of the night last night. Late last night, I found out that one of my friends from church(an 8-year-old girl) might have appendicitis. I won't know if she's okay until either tomorrow or Sunday. Then this afternoon, I got in a huge arguement with my parents. My finger, which I accidentally stuck in the fan of my CPU's heat sink yesterday, is still hurting. My computer freezes up at random moments. I need to reinstall BG1 and BG2 because of a glitch with the buttons at the bottom of the screen. BG1 on my laptop keeps having a tendancy to freeze up when I go to save. And Viconia won't join my party in BG1 this time through. :(

*heads off to the BG1 forum*

You stuck your finger in the heat sink.... I don't know how to respond to that one.

It was an accident...I currently have the side off my computer because I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with it. I can't see that side of my computer when I'm sitting at my desk, though. I was reaching down to try to feel the air being blown out by the heat sink and I got too close to it. :o

Thats a better excuse than what I was expecting. I've heard the usual it was an 'accident' routine. As for checking your heat sink, go into your BIOS to check it. A lot safer ;)

Heh, yeah, I'm probably lucky that the most damage it did besides breaking my fingernail was jamming my finger.

Your not the only one :o

Thankfully I was still a youngster, so it somehow slid out if somewhat painfully.

LOL :D it makes me feel better to hear someone else has done it, so are we both sad, or are we revolutionists? :D

Umm, let me see....I'd say revolutionists. Definetly genuine revolutionists. :D

Mind you I've never looked at a coke can in the same way as before.

The worst I've done was put my finger on a hot iron. The resulting blister was a pain.

Got a finger caught on an oven element, picked up some driftwood and threw it, not knowing it had a nail in it. Nail went through my finger, I had a muscle wrap itself around my oesophagus when I was a kid, had to have surgery and I've fallen down 2 flights of concrete stairs splitting my head open. It's amazing I'm still alive! :D :D

Yes, but I think that explains a lot. ;) :p :D

It's amazing that I've only recieved one concussion in my life. When I was a baby, I fell backwards out the door of an RV, landing headfirst on the ground. When I was in 2nd grade, I rode my bicycle slowly off a ramp that was about 2' tall. The front wheel fell straight down, inertia through me forward over the handle bars, I landed headfirst on asphalt, then the bike flipped over and landed on top of me because I didn't bother to let go of the handlebars. My head impacting with the asphalt cracked open the asphalt, but just gave me a bad headache. Also on my bike, I ran into an 18-wheeler trailer, a barn, a shed, a parked car, and a tree. Plus I seem to have a tendancy hit my head against the wall while I'm asleep which is why I have pillows between me and the wall. :o

As you can see, I have a history of stupidity! :D
