I have no faith at all in IQ's after I found out that mine has gone up 45 points in the last six months...

I heard that it was not really an IQ test, rather an education test, with a lot of knowledge being necessary rather than innate logical abilities.

a friend was telling em about the presenter making a horrid blunder on the show:

'Well, it seems that brunettes are the smartest, the blondes are doing a bit better than the reds, but everyone's smarter than the blacks! erm...black um..haired....people..that is...'

can't remember exact words :D  poor man. The papers will eat him alive...

I find the same thing with Algebra, although i had no problem with that in the test..... :D

You did, yes. PM me with specifics and i will find you the links :)

BTW to back up my argument: http://www.bbc.co.uk/testthenation/resu ... tion.shtml
Go Sleepy!! :D

The specifics are, I bolted the changer directly to the floor of the boot and should have used a wooden dampener as we discussed a while ago - though it is not too bad, it could have been better, as I said, we live and learn :)

Exactly - look at the concentration in the SE ;)

Ah, but whats the point in cheating you all, I could say that I got 88, like my grandad :D (he did it on the TV, he did miss the first set of questions though... :D )

It always will depend on the test :) not so much the timing. I don't believe I get any brighter, but my scores have varied immensely - this being my lowest - but possibly trueist *shrugs*it doesn't matter to me at all, I like the challenge, as long as my wisdom gets me by who needs to be bright? :D

The presenters were the funniest part! :D He acknowledged a students got the highest marks after one test and his first question to a student was 'what do you teach?' :D the students response was 'I am a student - I don't teach' Philip Schofields response was 'this is why I am hosting and not taking part' :D

@Sleepy - no! I mean under represented! ;)

It seems strange that they would make statements about Wales being the stupidest etc and then post things like that on the site that pretty much make a mockery of their results :)

You could obtain some dampening material fromDynamat which might help a bit, it is supposed to dampen road noise but it might work to stop it jumping :) I must admit my changer does look amusing in it's little wooden shelf, i am think of carpeting it just so it fits in a little :)

IMO it is all a mockery ;)

Road noise is not an issue at all - it is the jumping from time to time - makes me wonder at all this road tax and council tax, my cd changer tells me the roads are crap! ;)

See you soon Nippy! :)

I left the transport screws in mine which caused it to jump all the time, i did eventually realise what the problem was  Jumping could be the quality of the CDs you are using :) Mine actually doesn't jump at all, i even went around the field and it didn't jump once  The midas test of the roads? :)

Can't you unbolt it and re-attach? Even if you just put a bit of padding under the unit? :)

I am not off to watch 24 actually since it is the same episode they showed on Choice last week :)
