I refuse to comment until I've seen how the adamantite golem reacts to an invisible gnome dimension-dooring in behind him and then rolling it over the line. Offside? HA!

Oh, and I've been feeding my goalie non-stop for the past year in the hope that something like this might happen (honest...) so he's now plenty large enough to fill the goal.

OK, this is going better than I expected it to...10 teams already! Must be World Cup fever. All that's needed is 6 teams, now, however I may fill the last one or two slots if it becomes necessary. So ENLIST!!

Golems

One adamantite golem for a keeper (he blocks the entire net)
Four stone golems on defense
three flesh golems as midfielders
three clay golems on the front line the chase down the long ball booted by the stone golems.

I know nothing about this type of football, but I would want to put together a team of Sirens, Nymphs, and Dryads, just because I want to be the manager of a team of Sirens, Nymphs, and Dryads.....

OK, I'm adding another Team - the Werewolves! Basically, they're a tough side, fast, strong and agile with a ball, good endurance, if somewhat too hot-tempered at times.
"This Fantasy World Cup shows a lot of promise - for some teams like the Black Gnomes it's their first appearance on the FWC stage! However, we've still got our regulars, such as the Titans/Wraiths & the Dragons who are always favourites on these events! There are a lot of soccer styles out there, from finesse playing from the Sirens/Nymphs/Dryads to outright, blunt brutality from the Tarrasques.
Now, all that's needed is 3 teams and we're set to go! ENLIST!

i'd suggest more than heavily enchanted football (only strenghtened not to be tampered in any other way) since golems, dragons and tarrasques may be little bit rough with the ball...

@Kammy, good so your goalie fills the goal... it's nice to know you provide supper.. erm i mean good challenge to my ever-so-hungry tarrasques...

Gwally - in the case that my team gets knocked out (and it is a remote possibility you must agree ) would you be agreeable to me signing on to your team as an assistant? I assure you, there are no ulterior motives here, I just...think that your nymphs have a good chance. How did that sound? Desperate enough?
