Even though I can afford it myself, I 'd still have to get parental permission (parents don't trust me at all). Bottom line is, they would never agree to me "wasting" (as they put it) my cash on it, even though I play/plan to play 5-6 of the games on the site. This puts me in a little hole, since I'm used to the well-laid out material that GameBanshee has, and I haven't found any site that covers the games as well as this one does. All this means is that I won't be paying for a Flashlink subscription for another....oh.....9-10 years.
I suppose it's better to play along with my parents....a rebellion puts me grounded from the outside world, and the computer for a little bit of the summer...time which I'm not willing to give up.
@Weasel, Ode
Are there any other good sites that use a Flashlink subscription?

I'm not sure, you'd have to ask Buck or someone who knows more than I do about it.

Here is a link to the sites covered by Flashlink...(by group)..at least the ones I found.
Subject list
This is what I found on one of the Flashlink user pages..
FlashLink was designed to provide gamers with access to everything they want in gaming websites. With your FlashLink ID you can access over 35 independently owned and operated gaming websites, giving you access to the great variety of gaming news they have available. By bringing together only the highest quality sites, you know that when visiting a FlashLink member site you will always find the latest gaming news, interviews, cheats, maps, and much more.
I don't know how they list sites...(I mean would GameBanshee be just one independent site...or will every game at GB be considered a independent site.)

Can't say I'm particularly happy or impressed by this turn of events, though I understand it is essential. My monetary assets barely cover my cost of living and it's unlikely I'll be willing to spend that small amount of $ to stay hooked up to the, admittedely superior resources here at GB. If I do somehow find the means to acquire a new game, I will also find the means to pay for this site. Until then.

The issue leaves me rather ambivalent. I absolutely and completely agree that Buck must make money on GameBanshee – he deserves it. I just wish that he could have done so through voluntary contributions. I have been posting here for over a year now, and have made contributions two or three times, and given more than this Flashlink would cost for that same amount of time. So I don’t have a problem with paying, and probably will join the Flashlink system. I just felt more comfortable when I could send my money through Amazon, and enjoy the entirety of what GB has to offer. Introducing this third party, whom I have to pay to access parts of GB … maybe it sounds weird, but it just doesn’t seem right.
@Buck Satan: I am truly sorry to hear that the majority of people here were not willing/able to keep you afloat the old fashioned way. I hope that the new scheme will bring you out of the red. You run the best gaming site that I have found on the web, and you deserve to make money off of it.

I perfectly understand Bucks decision to join flashlink to pay for the site. That said, since I only use the forums, there is really no point for me to pay so I'm sorry about that.

According to Buck Flashlink has a number of good quality sites operating under it's banner as well, so it should be value for money.
Weasel thank you for providing this link. I'm not impressed with their array of websites, 90 precent of flashlink is apparently linked to all the various areas of gamebanshee. The only non game banshee content that I found belongs to some Everquest site which I don't have anyways, and some game called vigilanty, which I never even heard of. Now this might be useful for some, but not me.
Regardless I think that for all the people who use this website $25 is a good buy. And for all those who think that you can find other sites that have the same info as game banshee "GOOD LUCK" this place by far surpasses the amount of info than any other website I have seem (and I surfed the web quit a bit).
