Can anyone make a hat for my avatar? :o

I would do it myself but I can't seem to get the knack of it. I tried both paint and photoshop, but whenever I try to put red some yellow/greenish colour appears in its place. Same happened when I tried to cut/paste a whole hat onto my pic. :o I'm just not made out of the right stuff I guess :(
